Forscan is very flexible, using it you can turn on or off many functions that maybe are not on from the factory including things like launch control, auto locking etc. I haven't tried programming headlights so can't say for sure what options it has for it.

I haven't tried it on the manual climate myself so can't help i'm afraid.

Hi, thanks for the comment much appreciated. I've not used Forscan on a vehicle without dual climate so I'm not 100% sure. However using this version is pretty straight forward and It has far more options to change than I've touch on with this video so there may well be an option for this.

A S lee have you managed to activate it on your puma the "climate Icons mode isnt available to adjust on the puma the climatre domain is though?

@@simoncooke8563 Hi.. I haven't tried yet but it is possible, I have seen others online that have activated the climate through the sync screen on the new Puma

Hi Paul, Yes there are many things that you can use Forscan to do, It's also true the Mk4 seems to have battery issues, I have a trickle charger for mine as things began to not work due to low battery issues starting with start/stop and passenger door keyless entry, especially over winter I don't use mine daily. You can also reset the BMS system without Forscan using the following procedure - Ignition on, don’t press clutch/start engine, then flash the headlights 5 times then press the brake pedal 3 times, after approximately 15 secs the battery light should flash, once it does ignition off- BMS reset. I tend to do this once I've charged my battery.

Yes needed to install the driver to allow the obd module to work, and obviously install Forscan. I've never tried deleting any code so can't help there I'm afraid.

I've not looked for this myself, however your car must have the installed hardware in order for any changes to work

No the climate functions in my car are the same way round as the manual controls

My car is a UK spec car the function I turn on in this video only allows for setting a specific temperature or setting climate to maximum or minimum.

@@i8gtmf I live in Australia. Climate control is not activated in SYNC 3. I used FORScan to activate climate control on my SYNC 3 and its linkage to voice control. Similarly, it only activated the temperature control, and nothing else on voice control. For my RHD car (Ford Escape 2018) with separate dual temperature settings, the temperature display on SYNC 3 for the driver and the passenger sides are reversed If you have dual temperature setting, did you experience similar display issues?

Sorry Joseph my car is a 2020 Focus ST it works just fine. I have read that others have that problem but my car was ok

@@josephhalwagy6435i know this comment is a few years old but how did you add the on screen climate controls? i own a 2017 escape with sync 3 and dont have the on screen climate controls. My car is a titanium also. if you jailbreak the sync 3 in your car (if you still own the 2018 escape) there is a mod you can install that fixes this issue.
