Neo Tec NH865 first run breaking in

This is my first time running the NH865. It's the clone of the Husqvarna 365 and I'm thoroughly impressed. I'm still running it pretty rich for break in purposes but this is a solid 22" oak log and it makes quick work of it. it's had a few issues I had to work around but all in all so far it's definitely worth the money!!!

I've grown fond of those little Echo saws. Those are the kinds of saws you can dual-wield!

What brand of fuel do you use for this product? because I'm not sure weather to go for Husqvarna or trufuel
@@jameslanderos4147 I do not use true fuel for anything I don't trust that premix stuff. I mix my own with non ethanol fuel and I use either VP full synthetic 2 stroke or Echo red armor. To me those are the best and still very affordable. I mix 40-1 for my saws and 50-1 for trimmers and what not.
Well shit man I tell you what, these chinese are catchin up. Just bought a 865 on prime day for 230$ after tax with 28" bar. These 843 seem like 110$ on prime day. Fixin to clean up my property after beryl, pine and oak tree beware
@@ArmasReverence so you definitely need to look into Indiana Doug's videos on both the 865 and the 843. The 865 especially if you're going to try to run that big of a bar on it needs a timing advance. He has a video on that. The 843 has the strato port gasket blocked off. He also has a video on that. The exact reason they've done this I do not know but speculation is that it was to avoid copyright infringement.

@@IndianaDoug just opened that gasket up yesterday. That's probably all its gonna get. I'm giving this to a buddy of mine that's hurting for a saw and can't really afford one right now.

@@kennethcastaldo7239 the hedge trimmer is what made me lean twords buying this multi tool. That thing cuts great and I love the adjustable handle
I was going to buy the five and one system but unfortunately they are sold out of the edger attachment and that's the part I needed the most so I guess I'm going to settle for the 26 CC instead it comes with the edger.
I'm in the same boat that you're in I only do it part time two or three days of the week

@@CraigDavid-i1p No doubt about that!! I will be honest even though I was very happy with the hedge trimmers I bought I was kinda iffy about what the quality of this would be but that changed real quick. The only thing I have found that I don't really like is just how big the guard is on the trimmer head. It actually to big and doesn't allow you to get down real low when trimming so I will probably be getting rid of that.
I purchased the Proyama 42.7cc 5 in 1 trimmer set on amazon to do some cleanup and maintenance around my remote cabin property. I have been extremely pleased with the performance of this trimmer, it has run long days without a single hiccup and has plenty of power.
O yea this far exceeded my expectations. I'm excited to really put it to work over this next week. With hurricane season starting to really pop off this year, I'm sure it's gonna get a serious workout.

I personally haven't had any issues out of this saw. And I have fell and cut up well over 20 large oak trees with it. Only little issue I have had is bar nuts coming loose other than that, nothing at all. I love this saw!!!

Nice video especially if it's your first rodeo. I have a FarmMac by Neotech on order and should be coming in this week. One size up from the one you have with a 36-inch bar. I am needing it for some large blow downs from a heavy windstorm. I am thinking I may try some chainsaw milling with it as well. Lots of good reviews on their products. A few not so good, but for the price they look like a great bargain at about 1/3 the price of name brands. Even if they need a little work, parts are available and not that expensive.
Did you order yours from Amazon or directly from NeoTec?

I ordered a farmmac 72cc. I am hoping it isn't too much trouble to get it going. I don't mind working on a new saw but I saw a video by the Novice Lumberjack that is a little sobering. It seems hit or miss on getting a good one.
Which 72cc did you get? The husky clone or the Stihl?

So that’s a stock saw with a muffler mod and a o ring on the nut. Which it should be around the filter neck That’s definitely not a ported saw
This is 100% a ported saw. Check out Kevin's channel he has a whole series of his port work on this saw
Nice looking saw. I run the holzfforma clones. Also own OeM saws. That 365 is NOWHEREEEEEEE near a 365 special. Like not even in the same time zone.

Yes the chain adjustment on this 872i is STOUT!!!

You must have got lucky, mine will not build any useable rpms no matter how you tune the carb. Save your money for the real husqvarna

Good review!! What size bar?
That's a 24/25" bar, but others I have spoke to says it's pulls a 28" just as good. I continue to be more and more impressed with neo-tec I will be buying more of Thier products.
I have been in tree service for 25 years and this is a good saw. My 440 and 441 run about the same as this saw. You need to run it with 4-5 tanks before tuning with a tack. Get safety gear on please. I (STIHL) gave you a thumbs up.
nice video yeah I continue to be impressed with the 872i - i got a deal on a g444, it is ok. . . it was a little lighter and 40 less, but I didnt get all the better upgrades this neo-tec has. but I learned that perhaps ny next saw will be a bit lighter - perhaps 50 - 60cc as I have a toy saw and an 80cc mac and both have their use , But the 71cc I can see will replace the mac, but Id like another saw for the ease of use with a 24" bar [as Im not a fan of bending over to saw limbs or brush] ;) I like your realistic - out of the box experience Good Job!
I appreciate you checking it out. Honestly I am just looking into trying to start a channel of a real down home country who knows just enough to get things done but doing so with products that won't break the bank. The farmertec stuff I've handled is just like you said it just felt to light for me didn't feel like solid saw. This 872I felt like a tank the minute I pulled it out the box. And o yea by the way that giant live oak that I was fighting is now gone!!! This baby has really started coming to life with each cut I make I can only imagine what it will be like once broken in. O and if your looking for a little but lighter saw they also have the 865 like I was talking about. Come to find out mine had a small air leak which is why I was having issues but it still cut good I can only imagine what it will be like once I get my new one and get it ripping without an air leak.
How is the NH865 holding up?
It is actually at the shop! Lol but it actually shows how great thier customer service and warranty is. I think the carb is faulty because I could tune it and it would rip then it would completely loose the tune. But for what this saw cost for what you get it soo worth it! They paid to have it shipped to the service dept they are doing a full diagnosis on it and are replacing anything that it needs. Also thier communication is top notch.
Infact I purchased a 872I because I know the quality I'm dealing with in neo tec. Check out the other video on my page I just made the other day. That 872I is AMAZING!!!
Did you get your 865 back yet
@@danachadwick4919 they actually sent me a brand new one because mine had an air leak. So it wasn't even an issue with the carb like I thought it was. Ain't had any trouble out of this new one

I'm curious about the NH865. What small issues did you have with it? I've been looking at them.
I'm pretty sure it's a carb issue. So I'm letting them handle it under warranty if that is for sure what it is I'll probably just put a oem carb on it and I'm sure that will help it stay the beast it is.

Honestly I'm very happy with this saw now that I've really put some work on it except for the carburator I'll keep tweaking it but it seems like it will not hold a tune on the high jet. I'm about to message the supplier about it but other than that it's been a good saw. I would probably wait for the improved version or get this and put a better carb on it. I'm hoping it's just a booger carb and another one will fix it
@@loweralabamahomesteading4661 in ordering Chinese parts for the 365/372, I've been unimpressed with the crank seals, intake boot rubber, and the plastic ring that holds the intake nuts. Any of these could cause intermittent intake leaking/ leaning. Retighten every bolt you can get to. If its a carb with protruding needles, I slit an inch of fuel hose flat, then cut two + shaped holes at the needle center to center dimension. Then slip the holes over the needles so they are bound to each other. You can still adjust, and its just enough tension to keep the needles from moving under vibration.
what's the improved model? I just got the nh865 this week and now in wondering if it's the improved model?
