Five Myths About Emotions

Spiritual Awakening and the Tendency to Self-Gaslight

    2:26 what does it mean? Somethings that occurs that is resolved or unresolved you were talking about trauma here? Please open circles all over the body that are cycles of things that will keep repeating. Do you have any examples of what this might be?

    • @_kristenelisabeth_
      @_kristenelisabeth_ 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea, it's hard to say trauma because what I'm talking about doesn't necessarily have to be considered trauma to be unresolved. Anything unresolved, could be simply anything that the soul came here to resolve or change perspectives. A practical example would be if I believe that I'm not worthy then I'll be playing out that movie and will continued to be triggered in feeling that way until I recognize it and resolve the thought, belief, and associated emotions. Once those things are resolved, you will exist in a new experience/movie and thus step beyond that cycle of thinking.

      @@_kristenelisabeth_ these unresolved things the human doesn’t know about correct ? If they are the souls mission ? Do you believe there’s anyway for the human to address these unresolved things if it doesn’t know what they are ? I hear people say they move past the cycle of thinking or they don’t have thoughts anymore but to even answer the question and say that they don’t have thoughts, they have to think about that 🤔 I appreciate your reply, and I will watch more of your videos to see if it can make more sense for me

      @_kristenelisabeth_ 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@fourtwentythree Yes, totally. I'll just share what has worked for me. I think one of the most important things was beginning to tune into what my soul actually feels like - whether I can feel it inside my body or not. For me, the frequency of my soul feels very specific to me just as anyone else's would feel very specific to them. For me, that's my true self. I also started tuning into love and other higher frequencies as well. The stuff that wants to be resolved may be more obvious when you start tuning into the higher frequencies. The caveat is that you have to be present with the lower stuff, see the pattern, and let it go. Another easier way is simply being honest about what triggers you. In my opinion, a trigger is where the light wants to come in and if you let yourself feel something completely, your consciousness will start to elevate and you may see something differently. Part of this work is simply having the desire to create change. For me, I talk with Source and ask for strength and ask to understand the lesson within something. Personally, I think Kabbalah One explains some of these concepts very well. I have no affiliation with them, but did enjoy that class. It's very simple but potent: www.kabbalah.com/en/online-courses/courses/kabbalah-one/p/

    In Greek, there are eight different forms of love, and they function as a progression, of sorts. If one is to be able to feel and express the higher forms (agape, mania, pragma, philautia), they have to pass through the gateway forms (eros and probably storge) from the more basic ones (philia and ludos). It’s so strange to me that English only has the one word for love. Along that line, perhaps because most are not only so out-of-touch with these deeper, higher forms of love (that they’re possibly not even capable of presently), the judgments and ways they seek to coerce conformity reinforce the problem on both themselves and their ‘victims’, which, in another layer of irony, are probably their loved ones. Perhaps now we can begin to understand why systems like Christianity say things like “For it is by grace you have been saved through faith”. We’re all either trapped or formerly trapped by a prison of our own making. These teachings are so poorly understood by seemingly everyone, that their by-products are used in the creation and continuance of the problem they’re meant to solve. This is made only worse by supposed spiritual leaders via the demonization of the experiential elements of feeling through and mastering emotions. It would be so fascinating if it wasn’t so obnoxious, frustrating, and detrimental to actual progress/understanding.

    It seems I was wordy everywhere except where I needed to be. My purpose in what I said was to see if reframing the phenomena could be helpful. For me, I’ve noticed at times in my life where I’m endeavouring to expand consciousness, I can begin to exhibit a good many different tendencies that could easily become pathological and/or develop into neuroses should I leave them unchecked or fail to view them in a proper light. To build on the examples we’ve both given, in reaction to these heightened sensitivities to negative emotional states, the people that exhibit them, and the locations in which they readily appear, an obviously poor response would be to assume I’m above them now (superior), and that I should no longer deign to mingle with the rabble, or some such. Obviously poor, yet I’ve seen myself becoming averse to things in similar ways. What I needed to do was acknowledge that I was justifying my descent into neuroticism and arrogance, spiritually bypassing the lesson, distancing myself from those I should be serving, and inflating my spiritual ego by allowing this heightened perception to separate me from others while turning a blind eye to more rudimentary explanations. Obviously, I don’t really know you, but for me, it’s important to stay as grounded as I can manage, especially given the bizarre nature of some things that have happened to me. I hope that makes more sense.

  • @Revinance88

    For me, there’s definitely some sort of heightened receptivity toward other people’s emotional states, which wouldn’t be unusual for someone with an atypical childhood/emotionally manipulative parent, but things seem to be more than normal for me. Being in close proximity to certain people, even if I’m not directly interacting with them, will cause my state to feel disrupted by particularly negative things they’re feeling. There are some others where I can feel their location in a room relative to me. There’s been one person with which their (negative) emotional states would transfer onto me and linger, sometimes for hours after they’d be gone, even if the state was completely contrary to my own. Do you think what you’re describing could just be onsetting agoraphobia?

    I still can’t figure out why Christianity was bastardized the way that it was. I’m aware of so many of its corruptions throughout history, but for what reason was the positive/divine feminine not just omitted, but often castigated? Sects like the Cathars, Gnostics, Coptics, Rosicrucians, and Templars worshipped the divine feminine, and some of those groups were executed, or at least exiled and excommunicated for their “heretical” beliefs. Meanwhile, in the root religions of Christianity like Judaism and Hinduism, the positive feminine was at least acknowledged and venerated. The Virgin Mary is as close it gets, and while she’s wonderful in some very specific ways, she not only doesn’t cover the breadth of feminine expression, it’s really only the Catholics and Orthodox Christians that venerate her at all - the entirety of Protestantism hardly cares about her. It’s no wonder women in our culture are so damned confused on what they’re supposed to be - they’ve had no proper mythological role model for damned near 2,000 years! Gone in our culture are the archetypal representations like Sophia, Athena, Demeter, Kali, Devi Kundalini, Shakti, Ishtar, Parvati, Isis, Hera, Aphrodite, Vajrayogini, the Morrigan, the Ain, or the Shekhinah. Of course, so many more.

    Thank you for doing this. I was smiling throughout the video. Particularly for the first twenty minutes, it felt like my own mind speaking to me - even some of your word choices were peculiar ones that I make a point to express in those specific ways. This is probably far more poetic than it was, but as my awakening was occurring, I felt refuge in the story where Christ arrives in Jerusalem for (I think) the second Passover, and He enters into the Temple. In a fit of divine fury, He expels all the money lenders, marketeers, tax collectors, and whores. I only had a mainstream Christian context at the time, and so I identified with it as just what happens when ‘the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in the the Temple’ as I watched my life and everything that no longer served me disintegrate around me. The people who were supposedly invested in me all abandoned, rejected, and/or betrayed me - allegedly spiritual people/leaders - afraid of me and what I was becoming as I dwelt in a sublime bliss and peacefulness throughout, trusting in the process. To my credit, thank goodness I was able to readily accept the thing and view it positively, easing into it. I laughed out loud when you said you thought you were going to go back to your old life, and I’ll do you one better: not only that, but I believed I was about to get married! You know, I’m not sure I would have gone through with it all if I was told at the onset what lay before me on this path, but now, I can look back in astonishment and gratitude, and never want to return to that old way of being. Oh, and you’re welcome to keep on going about this. I’ll keep listening. It’s so refreshing to encounter someone who actually understands this and what has happened to me (and seemingly really well to boot). The only things I could find before that really nailed me to a wall describing what happened were the writings of Alice Bailey back in the 1930s-50s!

    It’s clear to me that you’ve been in this space for long enough, have committed to living this process out and experienced where it leads to really have a good grasp of what you’re talking about. I think you should express that confidence more in the way you talk. Anyway, I really relate to the things you say about modern spirituality leaving one feeling burned out, and I don’t really know what to do at this point as I see the old, negative feedback loop taking hold again in an attempt to cope with my failure to stick to these other practices that didn’t really do much for me. Maybe the answer is just to stop trying and trust that life is the healing instead of trying to force myself to learn more, hoping there’s an answer I have somehow missed around each corner.

I did a search on your channel, and it turned up one about illusion, (which was interesting) but nothing explicitly. It’s a subject I also have a hard time relating to people about, as the common experience seems to be a ‘one-and-done’ situation, which has not been my experience, as I’ve taken many descents into the underworld by this point, each being subsequently more… profound (?) than the last.

    *Have you read book Jesus Failed and Finished in Disaster. It is the best book I have ever read, I highly recommend it. % This book will change the Western world, which is controversial, but necessary in this new era.*
