A retro-channel full of old, and less old, footage of AFC Bournemouth.
If I find any old clips of AFC Bournemouth I'll post them here. Football matches, interviews, or just me reminiscing like the pub bore!

AFC Bournemouth slump to Dean Court thrashing v Southend United!
As the Ferrero Rocher advert sort of says, I've been spoiling you lately with too many exciting victories and great moments.
So as requested by a viewer recently, I'm bringing you all slap back down to earth with this awful performance from the 2007-2008 season.
Possibly the only thing to take from this was a great long range goal from Simon Francis. Although Gareth Stewart may not look back too fondly on this.
Anyway, enjoy. In a sort of sado-masochistic way. Relive the pain like it was yesterday!

If there are any real die-hard afcb fans watching this, then this ones for you! A very small away following at the (for me) much missed Gay Meadow, home of Shrewsbury Town. We didn't have much support, but enjoyed What we saw. Sorry for the blurry footage. Circumstances etc... #football #afcbournemouth #afcb #shrewsburytown #afcbournemouth #afcb #football #soccer
Phil Boyers only televised AFC Bournemouth goal in existence?
มุมมอง 3849 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Phil Boyer scores at Walsall. Hugh Johns is the commentator who mentioned that the goal is Bournemouths second. This helped place the date at 15 September 1973. Phil was the very much underrated partner alongside Ted MacDougall, and if 'assists' had been A Thing back then I'm sure his statistics would have been very good. This appeared on Midlands Football Magazine 'Star Soccer'. But I cannot t...

A not so distant wonderful memory! I know this doesn't count as retro, but I found this after trawling through my collection of Bournemouth stuff, and decided to upload it here! What a memory. A boiling hot day, and a wonderful result. Callum getting his hat trick. Plenty of great back and forth between both sets of supporters. Another great FA Cup win! Newcastle United might have thought they'd done the hard bit, by getting a draw in the game at Dean Court. But AFC Bournemouth had other ideas! I remember hiding my eyes watching the game on tele! Whats your memories? Were you there? #afcb #nufc #afcbournemouth #newcastleunited #facup #football #soccer @YeOldeFootballChannel

Luther Blissett and Colin Clarke! A memorable match for fans who saw striker Colin Clarke back for a short loan spell. I think he came on asa substitute and played alongside Luther Blissett. They grabbed themselves a goal each in what what was a thrIlling game! #football #afcb #afcbournemouth #blackburnrovers #soccer

Andy Jones scores 2 as Reading are put to the sword! I've pulled this from the !990-1991 clips. Almost 30 minutes of Reading getting beaten, who won't enjoy that! This was the first Football League game to include a 'lady' (commentator John Helms words, no mine) official. Step Forward Wendy Toms. Enjoy! #afcb #football #soccer #efl #footballleague @afcbpodcast

Rob you are. A legend at AFC Bournemouth thanks all hard work you do for the club 🍒🍒🍒
Wendy Toms was a bloody good ref , she reffed me many times .
Good player was Colin Clark . He was no ted . Luther was too erratic for me , good player in his day however .
Different, but I think they would have been a formidable partnership
Strange accent - part Scotland, part Widnes.
Cant day I've ever noticed!
Born in Inverness, Scotland.
Thanks for upload...a couple of years after this I moved from London to Norfolk , but didn't realise how many former Bournemouth were at the Club - Phil Boyer was a really hard working forward & set up a lot for the somewhat casual (lazy?) Ted MacDougall . It was a shame they moved on . Mel Machin rarely scored goals ....though he got a hat trick playing for Norwich at Man City once!
You don't score that many goals by being lazy!
jimmy hill hadnt got a clue
True!
@@AccessAdvisr Jimmy Hills assessment was very fair I thought . How was he wrong .
What a kit…
Brilliant
Good good player was Phil Boyer .
Underrated
Tony Powell originally signed from Bath City as centre forward yet converted into a quality centre half.
Glad you enjoyed!
Mel machin what top manger at Bournemouth great escape 🍒🍒🍒
Thats right!
Machin, Powell and Sainty Great AFCB players 🍒🍒🍒Cheers Rob 😀
What a team!
I didn't go but i will remember that goal always
Great diving header
Great clip, personally the Showers/ Finnigan combination is the ultimate what might have been!.
Mick Butler and Steve Massey
He took all the free kicks and corners. Good Advertising for the club at the time. Also took my son who never got into football. But he saw one of the greats..
Bril
Ted was a very very good player , doc made a mistake
Agree
Milton Milton Graham….
Was that the game where a few hundred fans from both teams ran up and down the pitch, pretending they wanted a big scrap but nothing really happened?
I remember Colchester at Christmas
Why is you tube showing me this rubbish?
You don’t have to watch it
@@RobTMFPA I like soccer but not blurry black and white
@@harrybond007 Go and watch it in 4k then, or even live. no-one is MAKING You watch.
Think He left for United in the next few days
Thank you
Thanks for uploading Rob. AFCB "reject" Danny Bailey in the Reading side - and I went to school with Wendy Toms!!
More than happy to post these videos which bring back memories
Cheers Rob, just seen on youtube Andy Johnson put on 1976 Northhampton v 🍒 in the John Benson era 🍒 lost 6-0 all goals in first half!!!!! UTCIAD🍒🍒🍒🍒
I was there!
Hi Rob, I just moved up to Newcastle after watching the first game at Dean Court and went to the first replay at st James with my father in law it was cancelled after 20 mins due to fog the replay was scheduled a week later I missed it due to having flu and was in bed for a week!!!!! I am still married to a geordie lass and living in Newcastle UTCIAD 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒
Love to hear these stories
Frank O'Farrell paid that 200k to bring Ted to Old Trafford.
And Tommy Docherty wasted that talent.
Yep I was there he was a class above everyone else on the pitch
Shame it wasn't in his heyday
I went to Dartford for the first game not a pleasant experience bricks coming thriugh the train windows as we left
Not pleasant inside either
@RobTMFPA don't remind me!! Was it a mob from Chelsea or west ham that was there for trouble
I always rated Colin Russell, great player.
Much underrated
Hi Rob just found your channel been a 🍒 fan since 1967 first match Stockport County at Dean Court (if memory serves) enjoying the present after a life time of more downs than ups!!! Keep up the good work and keep enjoying watching the 🍒 PS have seen you on Sams BOTN UTCIAD🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒
Thank you for your positive feedback Stephen. We are both long-term 'survivors' of The Cherries! My first game was in 1971. Please share this channel far and wide. I need the subscribers! And yes, I've made the occasional BOTN appearance, pretending to know what I'm talking about!
And to think that United won the cup the year before and the year after that.
Amazing!
as soon as i sasw the headline had to be bournemouth or york
😀
Well done , I can see you have the whole of the bournemouth fans in the comments 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I suppose when everybody beats Manchester United these days it’s nothing really to shout about😂😂

@@RobTMFPA Excellent comeback .
👊👍
Thank you
I remember hoping that would be the case around the turn of 1989. Colin scored that goal on his second debut and then scored the winner at Leicester on Boxing Day. However, he only played four games and he was not taken on permanently. I don’t know if that was an option anyway. He went to QPR and then Portsmouth. Keep up the good work Rob.
They would have made a formidable forward line.
Thanks for putting these up Rob brings back some memories of yesteryear that I had forgotten
Bournemouth United 😂

Unbelievable Jeff
That game was played at Bath City’s ground..lot of trouble after that game Rob..great day 👍
Yes, Twerton Park!
Wasn’t this the game where David Puckett picked up his season ending injury?
