You stand up, blood soaking down from where your arms used to be attached to, you breath out shakily, you breath in more so, as you look up at who's done this to you, a blood soaked smile in plastered onto your face. The one who's wronged you stares on, confused, wondering why your smiling, after all he's done.. You shouldn't be?.. Unless.. As he prepares to finish you off after tossing his thoughts away, a devilish grin on his face, you hear it, the sound of sirens.. You run forwards, headbutting him in the stomach before turning around, falling over in the process. You stand back up, clumsily albeit and sprint or, wobble towards the exit before getting shot in the leg, falling over. You see him, holding his stomach with the smoking gun in his hands as he stands over you, you see the light, and the authorities burst in. You face him, a shit eating grin on your face as you look him dead in the eyes while he's trying to escape the grasp of the police. He wonders what went wrong, why the authorities had showed up, he'd planned everything, except for his own family. His own mother and daughter come in through the doors, his brother behind them, glaring at him as he realizes in that moment, he's looked for every aspect so hard, that he's overlooked the most obvious thing, his own family. The police help you up onto a stretcher, moving as fast as possible, rushing you to the hospital with your limbs and eye, hoping that they're still re-attachable. You wake up, your eye and one arm having not made it, only one arm and one eye now, the hospital staff tell you this, "You did good kid, you persevered through it all, as you mumble to yourself. "My.. Perseverance?" Before letting out a smile, since you, had won this.
