Only had my rosie bourke for 10 weeks, he was very timid had no name although over a year old. He has so come out of his shell, I am able to be with him all day& he will now take food from my palm and loves his head neck and beak tickled, he looks like he is going to dive headfirst off the perch his head goes so far down. Bourkes are not talkers but he has the most expressive song, loves music, & has definite likes& dislikes, loves ska, bongo dog band, brian eno. Dislikes sex pistols, raucous guitars and bjork. A real little character.

You surely aren't calling those teeny nibbles you show hatred, my male rosie bourke does exactly this, and it's so gentle.He will have the occasional " nibble" while eating from my hand. This is hardly the behaviour of a " hateful" bird.
Hello there thanks for the comment ❤ behaviors like biting, feather plucking, and avoidance are often a parrot’s way of expressing fear or frustration, which can happen when they feel uneasy in their environment or bond My goal was to help bird owners recognize these behaviors and work on building a more positive relationship with their bird! 😊
