We are Impact on Urban Health.
We focus on improving health in inner-city areas. The places that we grow up, live and work impact how healthy we are. And where we work in London, like many other cities, is home to the best and worst health - often side by side.
Through our work, we challenge health inequalities and help urban areas become healthier places for everyone to live.

Walking from school in a polluted urban area
Freight - the delivery of goods and services - is the backbone of our economy. But the system is outdated. HGVs and LGVs congest streets in urban areas, with devastating effects on people’s health.
Air pollution contributes to up to 43,000 deaths in the UK every year, and children are among the groups most affected.
We’ve been working with partners across Lambeth and Southwark to test ways to create a better, more efficient, low-polluting freight system.

Freight is the backbone of our economy, but the system is outdated. We see it every day: HGVs and LGVs congesting streets and churning out toxic air pollution. It has serious effects for our health, for businesses, and the economy.
