My parents RIP had this album that is the thumbnail picture, and being that I was just a kid and had only a 78rpm of "Red River Valley", which gets old pretty fast, I listened to their "square" records on their "Hi-Fi"! (This is back when dinosaurs roamed the earth) which were actually very good. I loved that album. (I'm basically a big square at heart.) I was watching Columbo over the weekend and in the episode that I watched, John Payne was singing "Speak Low" to Janet Leigh. So I rediscovered the song. It took a minute to pick up on the accents and when the calypso beat and when the swing beat and I think it's gonna stay. (I deleted several other vids just to-day to re-do possibly at some time.) But anyway, I thought I'd explain how/why I decided to do that song. I love the song.

Just wanted to let you know, I deleted, but plan to re-do the Savoy Brown Boogie cover to do it better. I put "Louisiana Blues" on by them. If you get a chance to listen to it, I'd appreciate your opinion of it. You may already know, but Savoy Brown evolved into Foghat. Thanks!

​ @PatrickMurran-iy5kr I intend to re-do this "cover" sometime. I didn't do it justice, except for the guitar solo & Hammond organ parts. I had forgotten "Conquistador" and how good that group was. I re-discovered that song just last night, did a rough learn of it, which I know shows, but the guitar solo (Robin Trower) & Hammond organ solo parts are so soulful/powerful on their part that I (in my mind) was in that band on stage playing that song. I'm back to reality now. It was all just a dream. Thanks, Patrick! I enjoyed playing that song!! The drummer was RIP B. J. Wilson. A great one!

Ah, thanks!!! Yeah, I've got a few fills that I would probably leave out if I I did that one again. But "they" put the Dyke & The Blazers album picture on it, so I'm going to leave it alone. Yeah, that song just drives up the wall, doesn't it? I think that tune was just made for a shuffle beat. I'm in heaven playing that one. It's an honor. Thank you!!!
