Just got this channel pop up. Hell yeah man, 5 kids, metal as fuck, thank god there is real metal cooking show, not just cooking hostile cartoon. Lets do this bleah.

@@DEATHCORECHEF no shit. Listen to you then, left to suffer. Hell yeah, i will be checking it all out and sharing with others. Working on my e.p album.myself not deathcore thou, black metal. Glad to find your channel will pass it around like a mix tape in the 80's.
@ left to suffer are the homies 🤘 I’ll be with them in Amarillo show. lemme know when it drops I might start featuring new bands on the channel 🤔 it’s a thought we been talking about.
@DEATHCORECHEF that would be great. I write lyrics for other bands and stuff. It will be my first project to be made in studio with others, got a sweet young death core singer, he is adapting to my 80s thrash black metal style. But yeah would be aprreciated after you listen and deem good enough, other wise youll have alot of people sendimg stuff. But have had good reviews so far, from others that some success in the scene. Not our best video, I filmed it on my phone but I wanted to give y'all something while you wait for Season 2! Season 2 begins Feb 7th!
Thank-you for the vid. I'm trying to get into cast iron after my last non-stick started loosing it's non-stickiness. You've confirmed what I've been thinking, more trouble than it's worth. I have some enamel cast iron that I find sticks more but is easier to clean up because I can just soak it in the sink. I have a carbon steel pan I think is easier to maneuver because it's much lighter and I can actually flip an egg but it is more work to maintain like cast iron. I ordered a stratta carbon steel/stainless steel hybrid that I hope will get a good non-stick seasoning but be much easier to maintain because I'll never have to worry about the stainless steel part.
@@edwinguzman-rt6dc I’m happy you enjoyed the video. I hope you find the right cookware that fits your style. I personally like Viking 4-ply performance TI myself. The 4 layer construction makes the stainless steel pan act more like a cast iron pan. When it comes to cookware I tell everyone find what works for you. Cast iron is a lot of upkeep and the reason they are popular is simply they hold heat better than most. Well like I said technology is catching up

How does soap penetrate polymerized oil? Answer: it doesn't. If soap can get through your seasoning, either you're using a lye-based soap like in olden days, or you're scrubbing like a motherf^cker, or your seasoning's no good. Coarse salt rubbed across your pan, however, is an excellent way to penetrate a thin layer of polymerized oil, because salt comes in pretty coarse crystals, which have pretty sharp, hard edges. The no-soap rule is a bro-science misunderstanding of a rule that no longer applies because soaps have changed.
I made this but had to alter it slightly because I made dry roux in the oven because of reasons. So I used a Dutch oven and browned half my sausage with a little oil then removed. Then I removed chicken skin and oiled and seasoned very very well and cut a slit on each side perpendicular to the bone so I didn’t get long strings of chicken, seared that chicken in the sausage oil and removed. Then the trinity in all of that fond and the little oil from first steps. From there I followed your other steps - the beer is a killer addition - except I stuck my covered Dutch oven in the oven at 300 and after 2 hours was able to pull out the bones. Offset my lid slightly and rocked it in the oven another couple of hours, checking it to ensure it wasn’t reducing too much, added in a pound of frozen okra just before I started cooking the rice (so maybe it was in a half hour or so at the end) and it was fantastic. By far the best gumbo I’ve ever made and the fam and friends have been taking about it for the last week since I made it. Best recipe ever 🤟
@@TK-mf5in I appreciate the kind words, this was the recipe that made people notice me and what made me realize I had a talent I needed to work on 🤘
Pickled red onions are probably my most used condiment that cannot be used in a squeeze bottle. Question on the maridnade. It’s a cold maridnade and the sliced steak goes in there to coat - so are these tacos cold other than the corn? I’m pumped to try this as soon as I source some mirin and star bottle Mayo
@@TK-mf5in overall they are pretty warm. The ingredients are around room temperature. The warm tortillas, warm steak, and cheese corn will keep the other cold ingredients a decent temperature. Each ingredient is designed for balance. Spiciness from the wasabi mayo, savory saltines from the steak marinade, sweetness from the cheese corn, and acidity from the pickled red onions. This dish is super easy but will definitely impress whoever you share them with 🤘 mirin and kewpie mayo can be found in any Asian food store but they also sell it at Walmart. I recommend your local Asian grocery store. They have a lot of amazing ingredients 🤘
@ I’m definitely gonna make these. Love the flavors you’re using and have a little Asian market near by that I like to support as much as possible. Thanks so much for the recipe and the response 🤟
@ I hope you try all the recipes, the gumbo one is what I’m most famous for, season 2 will be launching February. If you ever have any questions drop em in the comments and I will answer them ASAP 🤘
@ I made that gumbo! I’ll comment on there with my results
@ looking forward to it🤘 tag me in the photos and we’ll throw it in the credits of one of our episodes
I forgot about salt! I was just looking at my CI and thought it looked like it needed more than my green scratchy thing was offering. Thanks so much 🤟
@@TK-mf5in I’m happy to hear that, if you need any more help restoring it let me know. Also check out our fried chicken episode. That recipe was built for cast iron skillets 🤘
Was just checking out another video on the CI skillets a guy was showing and what his favorites are. And saw your video pop up. I have been in CI groups online for years. Saved many pieces from people that left outside. Just asked can I have them. So now have more than 30 pieces. Cleaned and seasoned some and gave to family that will use them. Have to still work on the rest. Today am cooking leftover ham bone and beans in my large covered Lodge CI Dutch Oven. Everyone waiting to chow down pretty soon!

@@auturgicflosculator2183 I appreciate the feedback. We usually teach recipes on this channel but we had a lot of questions about cast iron after we did the fried chicken episode that we figured we would just cover it 🤷♂️ we will cover other things besides recipes like “how to sharpen a knife” or “how to pick a chefs knife” ect. dont americans use dish soap to clean chickens?
@@test-201 lol that’s why we made this video because 🤦♂️ that’s just embarrassing
Lmao! The Americans with an actual brain don't wash their chicken because they know temperature kills bacteria.
Ew blood pudding! They served that at Ye Olde King's Head in Santa Monica and when they told me what it was 🤢. Also what is Spotted Dick even? Keep making that killer cooking content!🔥
My ex used to wash his chicken under running water before preparing it. So when my current partner straight up put salt on a chicken for the first time, i asked “Aren’t you gonna wash it first?” 😂
@@livc.6761 😂 sounds like you upgraded. I know in professional kitchens we use running cold water to thaw chicken so we don’t cook the protein or create any bacteria. But if you want to wash of clean the chicken you gotta use salt
