I own this model, it's not so great (I mean the batterylife), arround 3 - 5 h. But IMO it is mainly used stationary so it's okay for me. If you need the 20 threads, thunderbolt and max 48 GB RAM go for it, it's a nice machine for the price (it's as far as I know the only model from GEN 1 which supports 48 GB RAM)
