Got two demon mask drops used one of them on Vegeta during his segment might be why its faster

Posted for having the basic route up. Not my fastest time. Took too long trying to get fish at the start Not having any weighted gear slowed down the run as well as a small mistake at the end. in 100% the goal is to unlock all characters and getting them to level 200.

Started working on this in early February finally finished after 3 months. This run manipulates item drops, fishing and occasionally critical hits. Edit: This video is 2 seconds faster than the one on the Tasvideos channel because there was an issue with the emulator which was fixed by adding more frames. This was recorded before that so i'll leave it as it is.
I love this game so much.

Yeah, I got busy with other things but I'm planning on going back to it sometime next year.
Its insane that this game takes 4 hours to speed run but legacy of goku one takes 26 minutes
Would you ever do a legacy of goku 2 100% run?
No, I don't like the game enough to speedrun it. The rules are different for 100% too iirc

nice run! do you have to double tap for speed boost or is it scripted for double tap in the emulator?
Yes you have to double tap to run in the game. idk of any script that does that for you but it would invalidate the run
@@flint8299 oh nice, i was just curious. I think it would be pretty easy script to make and run in mGBA but might interfere with accessing menus. your movement is so good it looks like a script!
Hey idk if you care about stuff like this but i recently got a copy of this game for GBA and you've gotten me into speed running this game i played way too much of already as a child, i just figured i'd share, i'm currently studying the game and your runs to try and piece together everything needed to be done in what order, but i'd like to say thanks for keeping this game i love so much alive and well! (even if i'm two years late lol)
Haha, it's always nice to see more people gaining interest in running the game. There is a guide available on src idk if you've had a look at it, it should help out somewhat. If there's anything specific in the run you have questions about feel free to ask I'm always happy to help out.
sorry for being a year late i'm picking this up uber late, why fish, is it for money or looking for a certain number of fish?
No worries! Fishing is needed for red snappers which is then handed to Korin for an exhibit, any extra fish is sold.
I love your movement. Still have this game (played it a long time ago) so your gameplay will definitely help me get better at moving and taking less dmg. Thnx.

There's always some room for improvement, particularly exp grinding is something that should be looked at more thoroughly imo. The issue with that is it changes depending on which items you get. In terms of overall movement? no not really unless skips are found.

Nice run. How come you muted the music, though? Just curious.
Music is muted ingame to reduce the lag when flying on the world map. Not having other music playing is cuz it was streamed on twitch and I don't want to get dmca'd
@@flint8299 Is that extra lag with the music present on real hardware?
@@NovaCrackers Pretty sure it's an emulator only thing, I haven't noticed it on an actual gba atleast.
Just watched the video on TASvideoChannel. Any reason you dont use the full stat points gained from leveling up???
Yes because you can only level your strength so much and leveling power and endurance just makes the run slower and is a waste of time. Power is unused in the run for 99.9% of it and endurance in a TAS is useless. Spending time to put stats into a unused skill is seconds wasted.
