Hi, I'll be starting college this year and I was thinking about getting the Framework 13. I'll probably be studying computer science and would like to learn and use linux. Do you think it's a good idea to have windows on the internal drive, for school use and work and linux on the expansion drive so I can just pop it in when needed?

I have had one for years and it works great. Just bought a 2nd one. And it works very good also. Good brand to get. I have had many Midland radios. Still have 4. It is nice to have all the weather channels also. Thanks for the video.

We had same problem here in Canada spring storm. No phones. Cash only . No gas only outside at nearby towns if they where not out of gas. For a week this went on. You need to rely on yourself and neighbours and family it helps a lot. Government was slow.

I had a gas powered generator that I converted to propane and for 5 years I've never used gas just purchased a new dual generator with it actually built in now so yeah propane is the way to go

Here's something to note if you get 8 hours out of 4 gallons of gasoline and you get 20 hours out of 4 1/2 gallons of propane which do you think is cheaper to run? And considering right now propane is cheaper than gasoline

Can you do some SSB power measurements? I'm curious in some of the board redesigns if they improved the ALC circuit to allow a higher average talk power. Another interesting thing to note is that the 2023 rerelease units start with SN 22 in the US and the first release SN was 02.

Excellent review except that he is comparing an older Toughbook with Maximum toughness with a new Dell with medium toughness (not their toughest model). This is comparing apples to oranges. A comparison of a new toughest Toughbook with a new Dell toughest would really have been ideal. The guy does know how to do a comparison video, though.

T800s and GoTenna Mesh are great and viable options for off grid communications. The experience you’ve had maybe bad devices or just simple user error. As others have pointed out, sync one phone first with your T800 as primary, then sync your next device each Walkie is bound to a single device. Label them, and then do the next. Keep your channels programmed on each device. GoTenna is by far the easiest method and like the T800 you’ll pair a single mesh with a single device to create your mesh points.

Why does the co2 leak? Im about to purchase one but am worried.

I ended up doing essentially the same thing, but for me, it doesn't quite seem to be doing the trick. It connects, but after a day or two, loses connection. I'm getting a little lower signal, so am going to try repositioning my new AP a little closer to the generator. All in all though, I don't see me continuing to pay for this service beyond the first year, but I was willing to give it a try. It would be nice if there was an option for a hard wired connection. I ended up looking into and installing genmon on a Raspberry Pi I had, and it does so much more that I don't really care about Mobilelink any more.
