Funny you should say that, actually, there's a pretty significant spike of widow and Ball players since this rework dropped. And I tried widow myself in my latest video, and got nearly no resistance at all. I think I had like three deaths total that match?

Translocator being tied to invis. That's how. Both of your evasive cooldowns are being condensed into one, and considering she's intended to be in the enemy backline for at least half the match with no support, that's debilitating. It's difficult for other dps mains to understand.

@@rosepneuma shes just no longer intended to be in the enemy backline for half the match simple you dont just get to run around invisible anymore you have to play with your team and when the time is right for example if you see a widow or ana far away you can go invis, run over to them and kill them what dont you understand about this lmao or is it that ur just mad that you cant dick around doing nothing for the team whilst being invisible or is it that you actually have to use gamesense now because people can actually see you?

Well, barring the fact that being annoying and disrupting the backline was her entire point of existing, all heros in overwatch could be argued to have free value. Tanks you could argue get free value from being a shield. DPS you could argue get free value from spamming choke points. Supports you could argue get free value from healbotting. Difference is, they're all safe with their team while they do it. Sombra isn't. She's in the enemy backline with no support, so yeah, she kinda needs to have a bit of above average survivability. Which is why locking translocator and invis together is such a massive deal, it drops that survivability massively.

Overwatch 1 sombra, right? I miss those days tbh, nice, simple, not broken, and serving the purpose of invis perfectly.

Most OW heroes get value for free.

@@saquial absolutely not true lol. sombra got free value because she was completely invulnerable until your backline was already hacked and you had to react, unless they were dumb enough to run into you physically.

You do realize soldier presses Q and gets aimbot, right? Widow presses q, she gets wallhacks. But sombra, who needs her team to do anything, that's just free value, right? Also, she's not invulnerable. Never at any point in her entire existence did she have invulnerability for any significant period of time. I can only assume you meant "invisible," and the per invis thing only ever existed in overwatch 2, not overwatch 1, so there was a point in time where she was visible for most of the match.

You're right, he just instantly eliminates his opponents with a backstab, regardless of health. At least with Sombra you have a chance to react before being eliminated. Spy can chain stab entire teams.

​@rosepneuma well like ya said spy also don't have get out of jail free cards like *translocator* and dont give value by *hacking* health packs either... honestly, characters like sombra have a place but need their power reeled in otherwise it can *feel* extremely annoying. Even though sombra isn't an invincible god like old brig characters with abilities that *stun* or inhibit *abilities* in an ability heavy game feel very noticeable. That's why people don't like old Mei and Sombra and Brig. I don't mind them but everyone has to feel some sort of *balance* in between *stun* and *player impact.*

@@MayFleet You're absolutely correct, at least to an extent. Sombra was essentially the response to torb's turrets being OP in overwatch 1, but that's grossly simplifying it. There's more automatic LOS stuff, like BOB, that's been added since, so she still absolutely has a reason to exist... UNLESS you shatter her invis or lock it to translocator, in which case now there's not much point in picking her over any other dps.

@@rosepneuma well thing is also skill issues factor into balance too because we all know the meta is different at every level for players, so depending on the maj players (which is mid to low ladder) that dictates the meta unfortunately. In summary if she's getting a nerf it's because lower levels can't handle the *Spanish Inquisition.*

@@MayFleet That's 150% a valid point too, since Sombra wasn't used very much at all in higher ranked matches. The reason she wasn't is because when you're that skilled, you're naturally paying more attention to your surroundings, so you'd pick up on her really quickly. That in and of itself proves she wasn't too OP, because if she were OP, the professionals would've used her more than they had.

Not really, Jump Spike is just broken in this game. It can be countered, but most people just panic and don't think about that.

I announced when I went live, it tells all subscribers. That's a surefire way to be able to join while im live, so feel free to utilize it! It's free, and helps out a ton.
