3rd Gen 4Runner side mirror replacement, tips
มุมมอง 38หลายเดือนก่อน
This is a year 2000 4Runner with the heater element. I had bought another mirror on eBay thinking that 1996-2002 were all the same. The eBay mirror bolted onto the truck just fine, but then I saw that the electrical connector had only two wires, not six. Only the driver side window worked. Then I also realized the mirror had no heating element. After more research I bought a Doorman brand glass...

I don’t know where you get this fascination with ants. I spent 15 minutes one night a while back watching the ants on my bathroom sink go back and forth and explore. Never did find what was so interesting to them.
if you havent already send it to @basecampchris he is awesome and you dont have to interview if you do not want too!
Going to the conejos next week for a couple nights. Any advice on the fly fishing... what creek around there or lake?
@@MaddenOutdoor Yeah, anywhere there are "fishermen trails" by the river, the fish are very educated, wary, and discerning. Up in the canyons there is pocket water with cutts, bows, & cut bows. Rock lake seems nice but I didn't fish it. Rio Grande cutts there. Blue lake is beautiful, but has fracking brook trout. Fine if you want to eat trout.
My brother and I, as teens, built trails for the FS, up the left side of that lake, the Upper Lake and all the way into 3 Forks Park and beyond! Those were idyllic summers in the '60s, building trails in the Wind Rivers (Jim Bridger Wilderness) and the meals look just right for the country!! Please forgive the old guy memories! The fish weren't large, but there sure was a lot of them!
@@zubenelgenubi Those were the days, eh? We appreciate your hard work on the trails to this day.
Trash Pandas
@@geronescott626 WHAT?! WHERE?!
With our North Face VE-25 tent. And still have it. Will keep you high and dry. This tent has to be 30 years old.
When we where younger we backpacked their several times.
I think the bear was thinking "why am I rummaging through this trash when there is a beer marinated steak in undies offering itself up?" I can't believe you left your door open while you were all dressin up x-files!😳
" God bless America " " The pledge of allegiance to the United States of America " I miss saying that, first thing every morning, standing hand over heart, staring at old glory🇺🇸 cool video. Thank you.
Myself and two friends did the Highline trail back in 2012 when I was 50. That trip kicked my butt. It was my last backpacking trip.
I hope your car doors were locked.?🙋♀️🇦🇺
Are you in Taylor park ?
@@mikejones3155 No, don't know Taylor Park. I'm at Treasure Creek, east of Pagosa Springs.
Treasure creek, looks like a super nice area . I just looked it up .. great video as well.!!
Prepare for Doomsday
Why the fuck are going to feed it, stupidity.
You're why bears dig in dumpsters and eventually get shot.....because they associate people with food. They're fully capable of hunting and foraging for wild food. I hope you're joking about giving him food. That will eventually lead to that bear being shot....or worse, attack some kid because it thinks that humans will provide an easy meal.
i love your adventures! it's too cute 🥺
Do you still have it?
@@geneballew2948 Yep, sitting in the closet. Why do you ask?
See any elk in there! Looks beautiful
@@carterhansenmedia4224 Didn't see any, but I might have heard one about 10pm up high on the ridge. Or it might have been a sasquatch, who knows...
Yeah this is a normal hiking trail in Wyoming pretty much 😂
I'd be up all night hunting whatever was making those sounds..
@@PerryJohnson-g9r Good luck hunting 3 things the size of a steer with the intelligence greater than a current 9th grader....
You’re pretty brave. I just had to turn on all the lights in my house. Lol!
Thank you for the comment Lolly!
David, I have the exact same motor and was wondering if you had any issues with the throttle cable having slack in it. Meaning after putting the motor in gear and pushing forward on the throttle, it takes quite a bit of forward throttle movement before the motor actually spins up and engages to increase the RPM. I'm having this issue right now; trying to figure out how to get the slack out of the throttle cable.
I never needed to explore that issue and don't have the boat anymore. I know that on cars and motorcycles there is always a threaded adjuster, usually near the intake throttle body.
@@davide.anderson8507 Thank you! I'll look into it.
Do you have the part number on the pump? I just picked up one of these that looks brand new, but has been in storage for years. Crime really, but I suspect the same issue. We are getting fuel out of the low pressure mechanical pump on rear, but nothing in the fuel rail. A link or part number would be greatly appreciated!
I do not, that was years ago and the boat is long gone. What I probably did was to type the original part number into eBay and then found equivalent compatible parts.
I'll give this a shot, my guages only go up 1/4 the way. Also, none of the lights turn on.
Great music!
Were can i find ecu for my 25hp mercury 2010? Someone stole it
eBay? Mercury? I'm not a boat expert at all. Good luck.
Thanks man
Worked for me! 1998 4runner limited
Interesting. Squib load and appears no taper crimp. What was the overall all cartridge length? Weigh each cartridge in grains. The squibs might reveal themselves.
It was about 1mm longer than all the others. And yeah, all the others were slightly heavier.
Will this work for a 2004 4runner?
I'm guessing it will, same general technology era.
I think my highlander would have made it all the roads you were on.
Left your tp out in the rain? Rookie!
All that trekin' for no good fishin? The view was nice regardless. I assume that lake is not the Chatfield Reservoir just south of Denver?
What a great ENDing! HA HA HA
We all entertain in our own ways...
How beautiful! Gabriel said that he wants to go with you next time!!!!
Hate em' last one im running on boat
I have not heard that particular barred owl vocalization before. Sounded a lot like a monkey, but hey, owl it is.
I had to search a lot of different videos to finally find an owl on camera doing a long upward vocalization like that. Rare treat. Pretty spooky in the dark woods!
The first time I heard the barred owl caterwauling, you know, the one that sounds like a troop of wild chimpanzees, I almost peed myself. I had been fishing all day down on the Frio in Tilden and it had gotten darker than I had anticipated. I was picking up my gear, not relishing the thought of walking home along the river in the dark, when the party began. DAMN! That was a first for me and scared the bejesus outta me until I kinda figured out what was going on. Those guys have an incredible range of vocalizations. Now I know a new one.
@@KathyStuart-oc3ke Weird vocal chords, eh? The Frio River, is that San Antonio area?
Runs from Uvalde to Three Rivers.
Great video!
Yep, don't think even a whole troop of boy scouts could have done it. That longest log is about 30 feet long.
Sasquatch built this
Lot of fishing going on !

Got the same problem on my 86 4runner
Hey David, I'm thinking of using this road in a few week's I have a BMW x5 with 10 inches of ground clearance. Would I be ok? Also how long did it take you on the "road" 610? Thanks Freddie
I have an old 4Runner with about 12 inches clearance at the running boards, and I somehow bent those up a bit. I just looked at photos of the X5. Looks like the clearance of an normal street car. Plus the rims and tires look quite low profile, not tall like off road tires. I think it would be a very bad idea. In addition, there was quite a bit of mud pits in the road then, and 2022 was a very dry year compared to all the snow Colorado got this past winter. Check out Part 2 of the trip for more footage of the road on the way out. Its rough. I think 610 took me about 90 minutes, just guestimating. th-cam.com/video/uhbxaDbhLo4/w-d-xo.html Also, these lakes can be accessed from a normal paved trailhead northeast of Keener Lake, at Stillwater Reservoir. Heard it's about a three mile hike to Keener via this route, but with alot of vertical gain.
Hell ya brother!
Do you have any video of Edge lake just East of Keener? Or, do you have any video of the Island lake on the other side of Derby Peak? I tried to hike from Stillwater to Deer lake a month before you filmed this video and got blasted with hail and a down pour for 5 hours. I was planning on tarp camping and I was unprepared for the harshness. I abandoned the trip and went home. I'm preparing to go back this summer and I'm looking for videos of the area. Anything would help.
This is all the footage I have, never went to Edge or Deer. Sorry you had such shitty weather, but that's the mountains, right? I'd love to go back to this lake when the falls are actually still falling, maybe in July, a month earlier. Probably the best kept, most beautiful secret in the Rockies. Plus some nice Cutts if they can cooperate... I'm a North Texan, where do you live ObjectiveWhiskey? ; ). My notifications from youtube are sketch right now, so text me a reply, if you care to, at (940)442-2679, as I don't have anyone else to share secrets with about good spots in the Rockies. P.S. Do you fish, or just hike?
Thankssss !!!!!!!
Quite welcome, paying it forward. That was so long ago I can't even remember the process 😔
I forgot to mention about my Nissan truck it's a 4 cylinder 2.4 L4 87 is the year
I have a Nissan truck 1987 there is a black wire that was not connected I grounded it and my temp gauge goes to hot so does the truck have to run and warm up before my gauge goes back to normal reading
I honestly would not know James, that was a long time ago, I'm not a professional car mechanic, and my truck is a Toyota, so it may work differently. Let me know if you figure it out.
Got the exact problem in my exact same red 1986 Toyota 4x4 Pickup. THANK YOU!
Thank you for the great memories David the alpine was my play ground for years the older they get the more colourful they are. I liked ,commented and will watch until the end to sub should be 100 if it sticks my best was a 22 inch looking at it now you had great weather considering where you are LOL This video will be priceless when you get my age
