Im just STUNNED that there was actual sound rehearsals for that HORRIBLE set 😂 I remember watching it on TV I watched it through my fingers cringing and now 20 years later I learn he actually PRACTISED IT !??? 😂

I was in the crowd for this one, at age 14. There were way, way too many people there and no serious attempt at crowd control, despite it being a festival crowd just a month after Roskilde. Everyone was extremely tightly packed in once Oasis started playing. It was my first experience with a crowd crush and it was terrifying. I remember being so extremely excited to see my favorite band live for the first time, then having that feeling turn to fear once I realized I had no control over where I was going, I could only sway and stumble with the crowd. At one point I fell and had to push upward with everything I had to avoid being trampled. People were throwing things on stage because they had no way to alert people to the dangerous conditions in the crowd. Liam then insulting everyone there of course made it way worse. After the aborted set people were picking up whatever they could find on the ground and launching it at the stage. Everything was soaked with alcohol and mud and glass. Everything I have been able to find about this show mentions the band's shit attitude, which is certainly a major reason for the cancelled show, but nothing mentions the state of the crowd. Thankful this recording exists as a document of that time, though I will say I'm continually surprised the band got through 6.5 songs. In my memory they only played 3 or 4.

This was peak solo Noel. It feels like in the last couple of years he's been playing too much to what the Oasis fans in the audience want. At this stage there were far less Oasis songs in his setlist- and, in my opinion, the gigs were better for it. It was like a Paul Weller approach- where the solo music dominates and you get the odd song from the old band. It felt like there was a distinct line drawn between HFB and Oasis- rather than what it feels like now...

Everything about it is great.... until the chorus. It's just not good enough. A stronger chorus with another lyric would have elevated to amongst their best. Huge missed opportunity. The rest of it is awesome though.

Just realised four of the five the pictures in the video are basically the only hairstyles i've ever had. Been rocking the Noel, Liam, Andy and Gem look for the past 30 years 😁(No offence to Alan White!)

I was there, I drove from Anglesey to Exeter and back, after being on the phone for 8 hours to get tickets then when the gig was over it took us 2 hours to get out of the carpark. Worth everything minute of an incredibly long day.

Was there too. We got here early and saw Noel and a few band members walking from downtown over to the venue. We yelled "Nooel!" and he gave us a thumbs up. Amazing night.
