I ended up replacing the blower motor. Some people have tried lubricating the bearings, but that is only temporary solution and the noise will return. It's such a pain in the rear to take the blower out that for the effort needed to lubricate the bearing a couple of times a year, replacing really is the best solution.

Back when I boucht this (12/2010) there was no second version of blade. I have manually updated my first gen Blade to second generation, as there is no hardware differences. Currently I am running a rom called Swedish Snow, which is absolutely fastest one for this phone.

@walawalaalcool All Zte Blades sold in Finland had 5 megapixel camera, tft screen and 512MB ram. In some parts of the world they sell models with 3,2MP camera, amoled screen or 256MB ram or some other comination of those. I have installed Cyanogen Mod on my Blade, and the video camera app crashes instantly, so something is different on these 5MP models. I can take pictures, but the quality is so poor that for me it's all the same if the phone has 5, 3.2 or even 1MP camera :)

@MerielLittle There are multiple versions of this phone on the market. In Finland it has 5 megapixel camera, TFT display and 512MB ram. All those can vary according to where you buy the phone.

great to do cool glowing stuff, but have you figured out how to get emit materials to cast shaows (it will be dark on the shadow side of an object in front of the emitter material but doesn't project the shadow behind it, making it appear to hover) only course i can think of is to use spotlights with cast shadow only for each object.

@pilzbmx Unfortunately no, this was just a test quite a while ago. Search for videos about animating camera along a path in blender. The object is just an extruded icosphere with bewel and subsurf.

I love this!

It's a way to calculate the lighting realistically by bouncing the light off the surfaces. You can see this clearly on the video: the coloured light bounces off the jelly cubes and floor plane.

The quality setting for the lighting was probably too low.
