I guess this has to do with your driving style, I've had an A1 for over 2 years, it never bothered me and sometimes I'm really thankful it's on because I easily get distracted.

i got mine on saturday a180 2023 amg line and look like really good on petrol usage

nice review, a couple of additional points that may be usefull :- 1/ You can programme in the car settings the boot to open completly hands free, the key just needs to be within a metre or so of the boot area for 4 seconds the indicators flash to show this is activating, and it will open, no spweeping of yr foot or anything. If it starts flashing and you do not wish it to opem, simply take a step back, before the 4 flashes/ beeps. 2/ You can turn the lane assist off very quickly and simple by holding in the lane assist button for 3 seconds, no need to go in to infotainment system, as you need to with most other makers.

Had a competition for 5 months now. Came from a mini cooper s. A1 is miles ahead in terms of refinement. On my 70 mile weekly commute, I usually get well over 50mpg in efficiency mode, hovering around 70mph on the motorways. Quality little car.

What 0-60mph do you get?

Why is s line better than normal one ? They say s line has more noise too i dont understand why its better

The trunk has3height levels of closing too. You can also open the trunk if you have the keys and are walking up to it then the trunk raises which is great if your arms are full of 🛍️.

I have a 1.5 diesel automatic and it don’t half shift! Don’t ask me any questions as I have no idea? It’ll take a lifetime to learn everything it can do. I’ve learnt how to use the limiter driving through cameras though 👍

I have this car HEV over a year now 19000 km. Absolutely the best car I have had. Fuelconsumption average 1l :16 km include driving with a caravan 3 weeks. Luxery and comfort during long hours driving. Space all around. Greetings from The Netherlands.

Been thinking about the Sportage or the Qashqai, so thanks for the review. Shame about the sound issues but I still enjoyed the review and good luck with the channel. Could you do an update on it with information about the glass roof, does the camera come on automatically when reversing, can it park itself like the qashqai etc. Thanks again.

This is a good feature, and can help to train the driver to signal when changing lanes.

I had the same car an normally you have settings to adjust the sensitivity/impact of the lane assist. But sure, sometimes it can make you feel almost like you're loosing control of the car while it just put you back on track softly. I don't know if you can totally disconnect it but it probably is possible. Nice car anyway, I do regret mine a lot.

Got the gt line S petrol version and swapping for hybrid. Horrible mpg on the petrol.

I think similar to start/stop in a Fiat Panda years ago always came on when you started the engine, and does so in my Dacia. I just leave it on.

It's annoying as fuck to deal with as you gotta turn it off constantly, it's a habit for me now because i do it that often, it activates over 40 and changing lanes is a hastle
