Actually Kotomine was cut off guard by Shirou miraculously breaking Angra Mainyu's curse. In the Visual novel was more clear on stuff like that. The animation studio did a poor job with the fight scenes so it only looks like he had enough time to recover from the shock also the fact that Kotomine in Zero was in his prime while this one was being possessed by Angra Mainyu.
and I watched a video with the new character designs. Ciel got improvement. Hisui.. awesome. Kohaku.. awesome.. and Akiha.. awesome.. They changed arcuieds sirt into mini-skirt though.. lol. Bet Type-Moon's gonna piss alot of fans since that was her general dress lol
Aah yes that.. Everything is cannon... I say Rin route in FSN is cannon for me... but the awesomeness of HF route is always there. Not to mention F/Z which is amazing too. I gotta hand it to Nasu for creating amazing FSN and Gen for F/Z despite his weird view on reality. Arc fanboys will say that.. Lol but Ciel is the least popular.. Lol she and Kotomine would have an AMAZING fight with black keys.. Did you hear Tsukihime's getting a remake?
Kohaku route was good too.. Oh boy remember the fight between Red demon vs Shiki.. Yes the red demon is that woman only. Akiha left a impact on me too.. Poor Akiha is such a nice character and got such bad fate.. nasu.. dont give Akiha Lancer class E luck lol. There is no true route in Tsukihime too.. Reason? Nasu's games works in Multuniverse theory.. So nothing is cannon. xD

He never used all his circuits in that route =( if he had he could have beaten gilg easily.
He was manipulating the black mud, it takes all the magic circuits that could be used for punch.
Why didn't kotomine just punch shirou's brains out? This is coming from a guy who watched Fate/Zero first.
