I've been using various brand and sized dressings on my face for nearly a year now, after a day or2, gets itchy and I remove the dressing, and then end up scratching with my nails, the cycle continues. I was recently given 2x 3M Medipore + Pad. Had it on for 3days taken off because could see it needed changing,not because was itchy. This is a brilliant product. I was wondering where I can buy some. I'm in Hobart Tasmania Australia. I think if I get more my face with finally be healed within couple of weeks, something I didn't think would happen soon,as everything else irritated my skin.

Hi Sarmad, no the plastic backing is part of the dressing and cant be separated from the spongy part. This plastic part protects the wound from moisture and bacteria getting into the wound. For a dressing without the backing you would need to go for a gauze dressing or a non adhesive foam dressing (e.g. Allevyn)

hi, just wondering if we need to remove the plastic cover from the sponge located at the center of bandage or that's for water absorption.
