Felt absolutely cooked after this ngl, was a short turn around from my last meet so I don't think I was even that fresh for this run but MaxV looked good just fell apart half way through. Still manage to go sub 11 somehow even though it was windy i'm still happy with the consistency this season!

Ran at the welsh national championships as a guest athlete was a good experience and took lots away from it after having some issues warming up. still healthy and making strides towards my goals which is the main thing close to that legal sub 11. Nice progress from the season opener and great early season form first sub 11 of the year even if it was slightly windy I can't complain. I thought i ran very fast but when i measured it it wad like 15.8 . O.8 seconds above the average 😅. Im 5'11 (180cm or 1.8m)with not long or short leg (approx 100cm or 44 inches long). How can i run fast and what are the drills to get faster. Im poor so i xant afford track and field academy. I run in lower and flip flops so will my time increase if i get shoes ?

I guess. I started beating adults at 14 sec. But was always last out of the blocs. Average fur what? Adult men? I figure that could be right if there was a beer at the end. It seemed that 11.5 was about the time you could do without training and then the serious folks start winning.

Do you have any advice? I am trying to get faster at sprinting without a coach or taking track. My 100 meter time is like 14.5 and my technique is quite bad. I think what slows me down the most is my start, and also I feel like I'm going to trip sometimes which makes me even slower.
Just keep sprinting is the best advice I can give speed grows like a tree!

I am almost 30 now and can run maybe 14 on a good day. Your video reminded me of the good old days when we used to sprint barefoot on road. The best I even got was 12.46.

I always used to sprint and run a lot with weights and do explosive movements, at 15 a used to run 12.6 at 17 my pr was 11.34 so that helps a lot if you want to get faster
I have ran a lot faster this was like 85% effort!
I think this is slower than the 1500m Olympic Gold Medallist ran the last 100m of his race having already run 1400m.
