Congratulations awsome forst race ever. I remember my first race ever in a race ar and it was in a asphalt ministock mustang back on 03 when i was 11 and ended up qualifying on pole but dad made me start scratch cause it was my first race and i worked my way from 15th to the lead in ,10 laps and this is on a very very tiny d shaped aspahlt 1/4 mile oval and ended up winning the 40 lap feature and it was my first time ever in a race and o only had seat time in practice the day before and duribg practice sessions on race day/night. You had to be atleast 13 to race full size cars there but we couldn't afford a legend car and after the track owner saw me practicing and turning laps close to the track record for mini stocks he said ok he is officially 13 and can race.I race the asphalt version of these same trucks and bodies kinda. except they look like a asphalt truck body and not like a dirt truck style body but we run the all fiberglass ar bodies or fove star foberglass truck bodies with a heavily modified metric frame and its all tubular from 6 inches before the rear cross member back os all tubilar with ford 9on rear ends or 8.5 rear ends must be over slung and 602 crate motors with a holly 750 doible pumper 4bbl carb built by vdl carbs who use to build all the carbs for nascar before fuel injection and a 6200 rpm max rule but we are on a hige half mile high banked oval where you carry lots of speed and going any higher will just float valves and not give you anymore power os why we have that 6200 rpm limit. We are allowed tubular upper control arms but must run stock lowers woth spring buckets on all 4 corners. Its a blast to drive they are fast as in you must keep the momentum up like you do in a go kart cause once you scrub off speed with a mistake ypu cant use the lower to get back going fast enough to hold your spot again cuse the 602 doesnt make that much power so ypu gotte keep your corner speeds as high as possible and i dont use the brakes at all in the corners i just lift all the way for a splot second to allow truck to rotate then im at half throttle until appex then full throttle from apex and down straight away. My personal best top speed was 119.6 mph and average speed in qualifying for me is 108 mph and race average speed os 103 mph. And thats flying in these trucks

Generally you can walk up to the cars to look at them. As long as you don't get to close and obviously don't touch anything. Drag racing is very accessible. By far the most accessible at top level of any motor sport.

It’s much better to just freehand record the races….what camcorder are you using ?……..all my Dragracing is done freehand just make sure you have a good image stabilization system on your camcorder.
