That's right brother!
In real life situation. I’ve actually had to do this.
Before I did Jiu jitsu training I thought that this shit was so high speed but now a year into Brazilian Jiu jitsu I feel that this is so flawed. We need an overhaul.
Why wouldnt you do this on the side we can actually see?
this is a life saver i get to test tomorrow ;-;

Man who taught you son
entertaining video
Elbows should block the knees from riding into high mount
Great teacher. Conveys a lot of details efficiently and clearly in a short amount of time
Do this in a fight and you will end up KOed
at 2:49 with 1 arm over and 1 arm under, isn't the guy in top mount now at risk of being placed in a triangle choke.
+ThereAintNo FNChocolate I'm actually shocked at that because the bottom guy can just bounce his hips up and try for a triangle choke, also much more dangerous if the bottom guy grips the wrist of the arm inside his guard. And if the top guy manages to posture to an extent shown in the video, he's still at risk of being arm bared. But this isn't BJJ, it's the military.
Ya, I actually teach combative in the army and I bring it up in every class, I tell the the army requires me to teach you this, but...ans the have someone do it and I lock them in a triangle choke..then tell them to TH-cam better ways to break the guard.
Triangle is fairly technical to hit. Not a highly probable threat in a combat situation. Think more simply, though. These moves are being taught with ZERO combative pressure. What's guy on the bottom going to be really doing? See how the guy executing move has no protection and partner just lays there compliant with their hands pulled back? That enemy is gonna be striking the crap out of you while yer messing around trying to execute a terrible interpretation of Gracie Jiu Jitsu. With that guard pass method anybody could pull off a crappy form of a sweep. That is much much more likely.
This are questioned and feared by many,There are additional details to make the triangle choke impossible,but definitely,there are better pass even for beginners.
They could use the double under pass. It’s a lot safer
