Gustavo Fring just bought this V70 T5 2005 and we managed to already break it. The bricked ECM was able to be recovered so that is nice! Big thanks to Autotech Motorsport here in Gothenburg. IPD R guage and blue gauges like the R cars is comming. Also some service items!

@@zhz1359 förmodligen inte, beror lite på. Men om du kan ba koppla ut halo inför bess och har andra halvljus heljus samt park plus så ska det vara ok

you can only test this on a hot engine fyi, on a cold engine with the "choke" on it will act different than when the engine is hot
@Jules-bass ahh okay, noted! Will test this with a hot engine instead! Although either way it shot up the oil stick and oil went everywhere
@@perfectedpursuit yea that's not a good sign, but the hoses that goes besides the oil filler cap down towards the intake is the one that gets clogged somewhere along the line

some dude in the Netherlands did an m56 swap in his phase 2 s40. gives you much better fuel economy on the highway aswell
@@Jules-bass The M56 is a 5 speed that comes in these cars. I believe you mean the M66? There's a few people on the V40 S40 Facebook group that have successfully M66 swapped their T4s. I believe one of these M66 transmissions came from a ford focus. To my knowledge it's not a completely bolt in upgrade and requires custom transmission mounts.

intresting to see where this will go. if i had to pick a volvo as a track beater it might be a C30 2.4i. one could push that engine up to +220hp by ancient methods and have it running reliable in a lightweight platform, less parts to brake or take care of. have a good good day

Hey man, ive got evo 3 calipers on mine and cannot get a solid brake pedal, always very spongey. Have bled it many times and power bled it too. Can you confirm if an evo 3 master cyl is a direct fit? Or another good master for it? Is braided lines, all new calipers, new abs module etc is the only thing left i think. Cheers and thanks
@@BarbecuedPossum you need to turn the car on and have it running when bleeding air so the abs is working and releasing air/brakefluid. Test to push the brakepedal inbetween of bleeding.
@@perfectedpursuit Tried that before :( Will try it again see if anything changes. You have stock booster? I think it may be worth changing just to rule it out but if can upgrade it, then is worthwhile
@BarbecuedPossum i guess the stock booster and cylinder is quite spongy and weak. Currently upgrading to an evo 7 brake booster and cylinder, there is a little bit of modifying required, cutting welding the booster arm to the brake pedal and changing the brake line nippels for the cylinder. But the booster bolts up to the chassis perfectly
@@perfectedpursuit ohhh damn.. yeah I was hoping that an evo 1-3 booster would just be bolt on, as they share a lot of parts as x40 platform. My other car is an evo 7 :) funny how things pan out
@BarbecuedPossum im sure evo 1-3 is bolt on but probably the same size so not an upgrade, evo 7 is the largest size cylinder, with my brakes it is the "safest" option as i need far more liquid to get pushed around

I had a late model 96 , of these....although quite nimble in the corners , it still wanted to wheel spin and go straight , despite the horsepower
Idk what it is with volvos but i guess a lot of hp and tourque low down fwd means wheel spin, quaife diff or Gripper lsd does wonders!

tyvärr inga 500 häst i denna då det inte är bytt kammar, tror denna v70 har runt 450 ish på e85, men mer än så tror jag inte tyvärr. 500kitet så behövde man omslipade kammar :)
Det här är 4T5-motorn med dubbla VVT. Dvs sanma topp som R. Behövs inga andra kammar i denna för 500hk.

@@pontus5753 har du sett listan på vad denna maskin innehåller? Den har ju varit till försäljning i ett par omgångar rätt länge med en utförlig redogörelse på vad som sitter i och inte. När det kommer till kammar specifikt är VVT-kammarna tillräckligt aggressiva för en bra bit över 500hk i R-motorn. Det är ju själva finessen med VVT-funktionen. Och eftersom detta är samma kammar så lär det inte vara något problem.

NEVER use a low frame rate like 24 or 25 for "handheld" (or in this case, presumably head-mounted) footage. It's absolutely nauseating to look at and gives motion sickness and eye strain. Low frame rate settings should always be damped with a gimbal of some kind, preferably a 4-axis one that isolates against bumps, or in the case of something that only needs to look in a single direction, a 3-axis one that damps bumps, side-to-side jostles, and roll rotation. For undamped general shots or vlog-style footage(like this), a bare minimum of 30fps is required. If you "can't" run 30fps in a given country because of lights flickering in your footage, manually set the shutter speed to 1/50th of a second to compensate for this(this will also improve the footage by adding a touch more motion blur than standard 30fps settings). If you can't even access 30fps, you may have to switch the camera from PAL mode to NTSC mode. Furthermore, choose an all-intra-frame codec to record in such as All-I, XAVC S-I, ProRes, DNxHR, DNxHD, Cineform, Motion JPEG, JPEG 2000, or DNG so that maximum motion accuracy is maintained. After that, if possible, choose true 30.00 instead of 29.97, but more importantly, match your editing settings to the version which the camera records in. However, re-encoding from 29.97 to true 30 during the finalization/export process or before editing is also done as long as it's still an all-intra-frame codec while editing. (Obviously, your export/finalized video codec after editing, the one that you upload to TH-cam, will have to be something that's supported by TH-cam, and that's fine.)

Were the internals of this car upgraded? Conrods or pistons
Connecting rods were upgraded to K1 forged rods. The top should have stiffer springs aswell since it can rev out to 8k rpm but im not sure exactly what else is done to it.

Yes! I am hoping to do a review, but we still need to tune the car and i want to do it when the tune is complete! The car has a lot of cool modifications, it revs out to 8k rpm, light weight clutch etc so very stoked to do a review! Very fun car!

I also have S60 T5 p2 model. Any idea what's the maximum horsepower it can be tuned to with stock internals?
Depends on year model but 2005 and up id say 400-450 safe horsepower if boost comes in at high rpm

@@daaangimgood you have the 2000-2004 t5 engine, it should say T5 at the end of the engine code to have the same engine this car has. You could probabky upgrade the turbos intercooler and injectors and get 350hp, more than that i suspect is a lot of money and work but entierly possible

Monster brakes on V40! 🤩 I had only Zimmerman discs and some sport pads back in the x40 days.
Im sure that was enough as long as you had a lil better brake fluid! But they are quite small original! These are very big for this car!
