Yes, you Sure can,
Do you need some help...😂😂

Thanks for watching and subscribing. probably not the smartest thing I’ve done but I’d do it again!
We caught so many of them at the mouth of the Jennings River on the fly, so much fun

Thanks. Make sure to subscribe. Tight lines! 🎣
That's my kind of place!

Пилот вертолета асс!
Yes sir!
Would assist-hooks, on the top of the metal jig, be helpful? Legal?
I put a “trailer hook” attached to the top of the jig sometimes yes. Works well and it’s legal. 👍
I will remove the bottom hook and run just a top hook sometimes if it’s snaggy
Awesome!
Wow, what a haul!
My best day ever halibut fishing was northeast of Port Hardy in Shelter Pass. Caught a 77-pounder and a 101-pounder within 15 minutes of each other. Went back many times and never caught another. 😆
🤘🏻
Great explanation, thank you

You mentioned one was a large female, how did you discern/know that?
females are much larger than the males. The males are also “skinnier” and long, slender looking. Males also tend to be much more vibrant in colour. A Ling cod 15+ lbs will be female 99% of the time.
Good show - lots of fish. Question: I don't want GPS coordinates or anything, but generally where did this take place?
Looks like Vancouver Island Area to me. If not that definatly the British columbia Coast somewhere.
Hey thanks for watching. I run my charter company out of my hometown Powell river bc www.hfmcharters.com
🤬🤬🤬🤬😭😭😭😤😤👮
Семь 🤟🤪👍
Great video. I wonder just how BIG of a lure one would have to use to only get around one fish on per HOUR (on average)....but they would most all be absolute FREAKING MONSTER-sized bottomfish!? A normal/typical-sized lure doesn't allow the genuine monsters enough time to get to that lure, with this fast of hookups (not a bad "problem" to have, though!).
New subscriber. 👍 100 miles up the coast from where? Everywhere in BC is literally 100 miles up the coast from somewhere. 😆 Sea cucumbers are very tasty, but I've never heard of skinning them. You slice them open lengthways and remove the 8 or 10 muscle strips. Fry those up in garlic butter and they're an excellent appetizer.
Thanks for the sub. 👊 My charters are based out of my hometown , Powell river. I’ve eaten a few sea cukes but a little too chewy for my liking!
@@HUNTFISHMANIAC Cool. Thanks. I'm in the Comox Valley.
I caught a 13 lbs kabizon once
👍 my biggest is 17lbs.
Just moved to port hardy after halibut fishing last year here and loved it, great video loved it
Thanks buddy. Good for you. Great spot. Make sure to subscribe and check out my other content. 👍
What a gorgeous hole
Cod
Great vid!
Thanks for watching!
Massive! Nice fish! Are those good eaters?
Great eating!
If you are wading when you don't fully know the depth, you should always wade slightly upstream so you have a shot at getting back to where you came from and not getting stuck. Also, wear a snug wading belt so air can be trapped in the waders and prevent water from coming in.
Nice trail of bent Yellow Eye behind the boat, at least you released one properly for the camera.
Well if you’ve ever used a descender you’d know that they do pop up occasionally and need to be sent back down. I release ALL the yellow eyes properly with the descender. Thanks for watching!!
Awesome. Thanks.
This may be the dumbest advice, good way to fall on your back and fill your waders immediately.
I have said those exact words before… brand new braid and that line snapped that easy….
Hey it’s me, the ten year old it’s nice looking back at my old video but I hate the comments that are like Be NiCe To NaTuRe, why even hate at that point your making the vid more popular and if you don’t like it, then don’t watch it that simple (no one’s going to see this comment lol)
Wow awesome collaboration. Both of you guys are legends, Fish On!!
Thanks for watching! Fish on my friend!
So beautiful and awesome fishing
Yes it is. Thanks for watching!
Pinks?
Coho
The yellow eye is floating behind your boat.
Well that’s no good but unfortunately as you probably know they do pop up and need another go on the descender sometimes! it’s too bad they don’t open it up again for us cause it sucks when they pop up after sending them back down.
Awesome congratulations!
lol
++++ to you guys for releasing the big female ling. Just makes more future lings for everyone.
👍 although lings are a fast growing fish it still feels good letting a big female go to make us some more!
Why do they kill them =(?
Is that in Canada? Living in Michigan I have seen flocks like that but nothing regular. Those flocks are massive. You could hit two birds with your eyes closed lol!
Yes sir northern Alberta, Canada. Some of the biggest flocks you could ask for up there.
Hey guys, great video. I'm new to detroit river walleye fishing. We're going over next month. I've heard guys get snagged a lot there. How many Jigs should I have on a typical day on hand for that? Thanks and good fishing to you!
Hey mark. Thanks for watching. The river is pretty big so in general some drifts are definitely snaggy while others aren’t at all. I always like to have 4 main size jigs being 3/8, 1/2 , 5/8 and 3/4 oz. Depending on water temp and how the fish are reacting I like to start as small and slow as possible. Later on when the water warms up I go heavier and really smack the bottom and be sure to have a good range of colours for each as well. If you can stay vertical you shouldn’t lose too many. ( 3-4 a day max) That said I don’t lose any a lot of days depending on where I’m fishing of course. Hope this helps. I’ll be pounding the river in May this year after I’m done guiding spring bear so might see you out there! Make sure you like and subscribe and reach out for any other tips that could help you out. 👍
Dude, don’t ever put your hand that close to a rolling gurdy 😮
Haha….. dude, it wasn’t that bad. I spent 5 years commercial fishing halibut and salmon without a scratch! Thanks for watching too! Make sure you subscribe!
Looks like a giant Golby
