In any direction from my house there are multiple 250 - 400ft climbs. Watching videos like this makes me jealous sometimes. But every now and then I hop on a rail trail and remember how much constant pedalling is involved in flatland riding and my jealousy fades. Nice ride, friend!
I'm in a similar situation - to get anywhere from my house since I live on top of a hill I have to ride a downhill section which is great to get the adrenaline going when I get on the bike, but I have to ride back up every single time It's not THAT hard (the steepest bit is ~0.7km, 70m D+, about half a mile and 220 feet, around 10% constant gradient, with even a plateau to take a breath), but after the long intense rides I can barely get up with my smallest gear (34-32, 28 gear inches) it seems to last forever, I have a love/hate relationship with that climb

Nice ride. I love watching vids like these but more so where you're just cruising around town and maybe do some sightseeing and pause for a snack break and then head right back home and call it a good freaking day lol. Question: do you have a single-speed beach cruiser? You exert more energy that way. It's definitely a workout when you rely only on your own strength. Ooh! I got an idea 💡 Maybe you can compare the two bikes to see which one you can get the most physical fitness from: the road bike with its shift gears or the beach cruiser with its single speed. Just a thought. Anyways, I enjoyed this alot. Keep on rollin' 😎🚲

Wow I thought we had it bad in Australia with areas only designed for cars, but seeing how long you had to ride on the bumpy footpath because how hostile the drivers are, and how badly designed Florida is, makes me think again, maybe we don't have it so bad in aus. Stay safe mate.
