There will be snakes so be a bit cautious about anything on the footpath.

Tip - if you think you may be the first person to walk or run along a footpath get hold of a twig or your selfie stick and hold it out in front and up a little higher than your head. This will capture any spiders webs made overnight or in the early hours.

I hope you have a great time in Australia. But there are a few things you should not do, don’t feed the kangaroos because they will become pests and bread is not good for them because they suffer from teeth problems because of eating bread. The other is ticks, if you go into areas of bushland you will pick them up and they will make you life miserable, so stay on the footpath and use insects repellent if you intend to go off the footpath and check yourself when you get home.

Most of the AU spiders in your area including the comunal ones you were looking at; were not considered dangerous to humans. The 3 of the Funnel-web species & Trap-door spiders are more likely found in the mountains 20 to 30 km inland. Its the local Snakes & the Bull Sharks that tourists & students should watch out for.

Just a small tip: make sure youre wearing a hat at all times when youre out in the sun up there (plus stay hydrated). Heat exhaustion is pretty easy to get if your head isnt covered. It starts with the worst headache you've ever had and goes downhill from there. Ive had mild heat exhaustion twice and Ive seen (and helped treat) hundreds of cases. Most non-Australians arent aware of the danger. Its something you really want to avoid. Nice video by the way. ps it doesnt necessarily have to be sunny for you to get heat exhaustion. Warm and humid is all thats required. But the sun on your head will supercharge the risk.

Your English is brilliant for Australia. Bit of slang and you could pass as an Aussie. Most spiders are harmless it is the ones that do not have big webs to not play with. Redbacks like to live under seats outside you can always find them if you look. Funnel webs are the only other ones, and they just have a tiny web with a funnel in the middle. Both you really have to go hunting for, so you won't see them or be bitten by them. Only real dangerous one is the Sydney funnel web and that is not in QLD. The cooked chicken you bought is called a bachelors handbag.
