Playing around on a 1964 to catalog the sound in case it finds a new home. - Not sure what the word for it is, but when I play a note it finds the center every time. I don’t really have to lip at all, super easy to play in tune. Dark, but not as dark as my ‘57 Special nor my UMI 5x. Super ergonomic, and comfortable to hold. A nice horn amongst nice horns.

I have a 54 Olds Recording and I think I like it better than my Bach Strad..
The D3 sounds superb 🏆. The D100 sounds God awful.👎

It's just like me to find a trumpet channel long after it's gone dormant, but I have to say I agree it would be a beautiful sight a lap full of Olds trumpets. Hoping you come back Caleb.

@@calebginsberg5224 Hey, glad you got the message… Because of your video I looked around for this version of the Special for awhile, but they're scarce. Ended up with a Recording I think I like better than my Strad… Take care!
Not that it would make a huge difference, but the CS on the F100 is the slower of the two 'continuous' modes.

Well time to get a d3 or 4. I needs that fps
I’ve had my d3 for years, outlived my d850, Z5, and d800. Compared to the canon 1DS, I much prefer the contrast on the raw files. I didn’t like the D800 (same as D4) sensor. It was in the middle between the sensors of today and the film-esc sensor on the d3.
wish they made the D3 sound like the F100!!! good thing I have 2 x F100!
May also need to get the first curtain re-tensioned.

what did you use to get it to shine up like that? i have the same horn and mines quite tarnished
There’s a variety of things I use, on this I believe I just used some “Twinkle” silver polish and a rag. I also use silver jewelry cloths, microfiber cloths, and for horns I don’t care about “Bartenders Friend” or “Brasso” which are both dangerous to use. I would only advise using jewelry cloths and microfiber personally.

@@paulgrimm It played pretty awful, sold it after I sent it to the shop. Most of the 40s Stradivarius trumpets I’ve owned have been beyond simple repair. I did however have one that played quite well, just wasn’t what I was after. I play on a ‘71 37 in raw brass now, a great horn!

Reflex viewfinder on each camera. How did you do it?
Each of the cameras in this video have detachable and interchangeable finders. I just removed them on each, as none of them require any tools to remove, a lot like switching lenses.
They’re all good but Pentax is big and clammy sounding. My favorite out of the 2 film cameras I’ve used is the Minolta x700 I like the nice quick and clean click. The other one the nikon n60 I believe sounds horrible with the electric motor
I liked the sound and feel of the x700, but It wasn’t the camera for me.

I have a Nikkormat ft2 camera in the all black finish with a 50mm f1.4 ai s-c lens and a 105mm f2.5 non ai P lens. Nice kit.

Let me check, not sure but I believe it’s just at 35mm.
