I’ve been consistently working in tiny projects, everyday at least 1h with Blender. Do you have any YT channels, tutorial and workflow recommendation? I’m always interested in hearing successful stories as a way to motivate myself.

    • @Artosa3D
      @Artosa3D หลายเดือนก่อน

      Glad to see your motivation to make characters! i would recommend to start learning one thing at a time to not get overwhelmed by the amount of things to learn (head, hair, body, clothes/armor, retopology, paint, UV and bake). Also try to keep consistency in your studies. What helped me the most was to replicate characters that I liked, so I recommend that as well once you get used with the general human anatomy. Happy learning and if you need any help you can contact me via my ArtStation www.artstation.com/artosa

    I enjoy watching it till the end. But Im still confuse how do you gain back all of ur detail after doing the retopology. Can you make tutorial on that?

    • @Artosa3D
      @Artosa3D หลายเดือนก่อน

      Glad you enjoyed it! For the details, it is a process called "Texture Baking", it basically transfer the details from the High poly model to the Low poly using texture maps, each of this texture maps contains one specific data, the most used ones are Diffuse, Normal and Roughness. I didn't recorded it because it is just button pressing and waiting for Blender to do the job and it take a while. Here on TH-cam there are really great tutorials about this process from multiple sources. Happy studies!

      I plan to make some content like this in the future, but right now I will stick with timelapses because I don't have that much time and know-how to record tutorials. For the time being, I would recommend learning one thing at a time. When I started sculpting I went to sculpt an entire character without knowing the basics of anatomy and fundamentals, so it went all wrong and was frustrating. So I stopped and learned first the head, then torso, arms, legs, cloths and so on. It takes time, months actually, but it was the way I learned and recommend for everyone. Happy sculpting!
