Man, I’m so stoked to see a new vid of yours in my feed!
Thank you!! I really appreciate it!!
38:45 Those units don’t work as well if you let the smoke out of them. 😅
Haha that’s for sure!!
Thanks for the review and good job on the assembly. Just a few things to note. As shown in my assembly video, the battery is inserted with the terminals facing forward. The bottom of the battery is the size of the CNC pocket in the back of the shuttle. This allows you to have more length to your wires to the wiring harness. In regards to the thumb screw for the LVS 34, we replace the shoulder bolts that were originally used with the lvs32, active Target one and two, and megalive with adjustable thumb screws. The shoulder bolts have shown to loosen up while the user is on the ice and generally they do not have an allen wrench to tighten it back up. We like to reduce the amount of possibility of problems for the end user while they're on the ice. The lvs34 comes stock with that system already in place. The M8 thumb screw that Garmin provides is adequate for the use and we do not feel the need to replace it. Most users are upgrading from one transducer to the next or from one brand to the next, this is why we include all the different connection parts for all the different transducers. We do not feel that the customer should have to buy more parts if they change transducer models. You are definitely correct, those billet aluminum thumb screws are not cheap to produce... That's why the one Garmin gives you is plastic lol. All the injection molded components are glass-filled nylon which are the same materials Scotty and Ram used for their rod holders and other parts. The shuttle material is Marine grade UV treated HDPE which is the same material you will find in much of the Marine industry as well as the ice industry, ATV plows, go- car track guardrails. These screws provided for the screen mounting are the length that they are because the echomap plastic bail is four times the thickness of the metal bail that you have on your screen. I look forward to seeing your other reviews and if you have any questions at all prior to the review, please feel free to reach out to me. As you know, my cell number as well as email is right in the contact us page of the website. I apologize after if there are any typos in this message as I am driving home from the Sioux Falls Dakota anglers show currently.
No problem! I appreciate the thought out response. I’m really happy with the shuttle and look forward to getting out on the ice with it. I also ordered the shuttle bag and will be doing a review video of that as well. Again great product!!
@therapawayhomestead5464 Great to hear, I'm filming the bag installation video tomorrow.
10 to 1 it's salty
Very helpful thanks
You're welcome!
But something vrong🤔
Still one of the best explanations of trailer wiring on TH-cam. Great job.
Thank you!!
Really good vodeo
Thank you!
Great vid. You are probably a bit over concerned in this case of having your alligator clip hit more than one pin at a time, but I appreciate the abundance of caution around electricity. There won't be any damage if your +12 lead touches more than one pin at a time, you just get more lights on, as long as the wiring on the trailer IS ok... Thanks for the share...
For sure! I was more referring to the positive clip touching the ground clip
You running a bit low my guy that 855 be screaming for help. Try to pitch a 1/2 higher at the back wheel for open discharge out the rear. That's no finish mower. You doing good and I respect the hussle. Keep it real pimp
Hey good Job no reason to not understand trailer wiring after listening to you ,thanks for sharing
Is this cure #1 or #2?
Dude, there is a 5 MINUTE commercial that TH-cam wanted me to slog through just to watch your vid. That's aggravating. I bailed.
I don’t blame you! That’s ridiculous
@@therapawayhomestead5464 The good news is I found a TH-cam ad blocker and returned. Your video is GREAT. Thanks so much for posting it! Hey, just for some feedback that might help you, I just wanted to let you know that when I see videos as helpful as this one, I often look at the video notes to see whether the creator has an affiliate link or storefront at Amazon. I order a ton there, so I usually set my Amazon shortcut for a few months such that whenever I go there and buy something, the creator gets a kickback. Thought I'd let you know just in case it could help you going forward. Thanks again.
Cant we just use a tester on the wires at different points , if connected to the truck?
You can, however you will not know if the problem in is your truck not sending power to the trailer or the trailer itself. That’s why it’s nice to use a battery to separate the truck from the trailer
@therapawayhomestead5464 Learning as I go... Working back, the truckside connection is working... So I guess I need to work backwards from the trailer side connection, then through the wires all the way to the lights. (All running, brake,& signal lights aren't working.) No clear breaks or loose ground wires, hate to disconnect every connection for testing. - I thought I once people using alligator clips to test through insulation.
Dan question I just rewired my boat trailer and I get all my lights but my running lights. The brown wire I have all the marker running lights hooked up to. Do I ground one of the two wires from my marker lights or do I wire it to the side Trailer lights they are on for that side of the trailer? So for instance green side of the trailer do I wire green and brown to the maker light or brown and the other wire to ground? Thanks in advance. Stephan
One wire goes to the brown and the other is ground
Can this be tested with a 9v battery or a battery attached to the car. Show the battery connected to the wires
I would use a 12v battery
Thank you & God bless!!
I cold smoke my hams. And I never use mesquite. It's far too overwhelming. I find alder, Apple , or any fruit wood to be better.
Great video, thanks.
Very informative. I have the same oil drain hose, but it’s difficult to drain all the oil out. I use a 20 oz soda bottle, but always drip oil on floor. I also noticed a rubber plug under the end of the hose, which I think you can bend the hose down, which would make sure all the oil is drained, since the end of the hose would be lower. But you make everything look so easy. Thank you very much.
Thanks for useful tutorial. Machine works perfectly.
Great info on cure and metal containers
you need a bigger meat slicer, lol. but thanks fpr the video very helpful
Your definitely correct on that! I do need to upgrade my meat slicer! Have any recommendations?
@therapawayhomestead5464 any used commercial grade 10 inch or bigger. I bought a nice one on Facebook market place for $100
So my dealer put a new jensen ms2013bt in my pontoon, but the battery keeps dying and the radio works when the boat is off and it doesn't require an accessory switch to be on
I would recommend having a accessory switch installed to power the radio
Excellent video. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos. You have a very pleasant demeanor and you're very articulate. Thank you.
You don’t need to disconnect the battery if everything is shut off. That’s kind of overkill. But great video!
Thank you for the comment!
very good & simple thanks
Thanks and welcome
Omg thank you a million times I thought I should take it somewhere I believe in myself and save myself $$$ I live off the grid and just bought one of these baby's to add cause Vermont can be cloudy for days lol . I will be changing often I believe every 100 hours is recommended and I have already ran the poor girl 200 hr I did do the first 50 as recommended but definitely being this easy I'll be doing it myself..Thank you again
No problem and I’m glad I could help
Was it me or did I not hear about brakes ?
Brakes are controlled by the blue wire
This is extremely close to how I make pulled pork. I just don’t brine it for seven days first. I suspect that is the crucial step right there. I might brine the pork butt I’m going to use for pulled pork for four hours tops before I put the rub on. I will definitely smoke it for one hour per pound so, an 8 pound pork butt gets an eight hour smoke kind of like what you did there. Near enough the same temperature too. I like 250 because I want my fat to render down into the meat. I would’ve thought you’d wanna smoke it for less though because you would want it to have a firmer texture than pulled pork. Oh, and I would never, absolutely never, ever, ever use Mesquite for pork. Down here in Texas, we only use that for beef, bison, elk or venison. Too strong for pork or poultry. Apple or hickory is what you want so it preserves the more delicate flavors. I guess with the smoked ham you really want that smoke to come through strong. I bet that ham you made there would make some absolutely fantastic ham and scallop potatoes. I usually do half hickory and half apple for my pulled pork. Taste great. I guess the initial curing is what makes it so that what you made here doesn’t turn into fall apart pulled pork at the end. Anyway, very interesting video. I learned something today. I thank you for that.
Glad I could help!!
Thank you!
I should’ve looked up this video three hours ago.
Glad I could help!
What about the carbs without screws on the bowl or at least they seem to be sealed.
Very helpful.
Thanks for this big help
Comment!
Great video! Simple, thanks
Hello there quick question i have tried two sets of tail lights on my boat trailer everthing works great except the clearance lights right one works left one won’t thanks alot
Check for 12v power on the brown wire and make sure you have a good ground
Awesome Video, very informative.
Thanks!
Great video! I used it to install a new Boss radio (not same model as this one) in our boat because the old one quit. My hubby was too busy with work, and I have not installed a new radio in anything since I was in my teens, it was a lot of years ago, and I've never installed one on a boat. Watching your video made it easy. Everything worked great! But I think you miss called the wire colors when you were discussing the red and yellow wires. There was no yellow wire on the old radio. I installed them together like you said, we got down to the lake today (a week later) and the boat battery was dead. So I looked up the yellow wire today when we got home, and this is what I found out... "12V Memory Wire...The yellow wire is typically used for 12V memory, or “clock,” signals. This means that it helps preserve your station presets and other settings when the car’s ignition is turned off. In some cases, the yellow wire may also be used for tuner functions." Our radio turns off but the clock still shows and the preset stations stay, so I can only guess that the yellow wire being hooked up is what drained the battery. What is your opinion on this?
Why are there two brown wires to one post?
One brown wire runs down each side of the trailer for the running lights.
Thanks for sharing on a mission gearing my girls up to ridis
Nice tractor!👋👋👋🚜
Thank you!!
Bro say “ummm” one more time I swear to god!!!!
Ummm
Ummm
Gotta let that season sit over night so it can penetrate the meat
Useful video… thanks!
Thank you bro!
Green , starboard.
Thank you for the info and work you have provided. I am thinking about doing my first home cured ham because of the additives (Not nitrite or nitrates…), but MSG and their related compounds. I think your recipe looks the simplest and most straightforward. I have a Traeger with super smoke of which I will use . Thanks! Good bless!
Thank you for the comment!! Once you make your own you will never want to go back
