Hustle & Grit
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 11 ต.ค. 2017
Bolder & Co. Creative Studios is excited to present our latest production; Hustle & Grit.
The goal with Hustle and Grit is simple; it is to pull back the curtain and reveal how branding can change the world one organization at a time. In this trying time of great anxiety and uncertainty, it is our vision to show that properly executed branding strategies can offer real impact on real organizations.
We hope that this initiative becomes an exchange where academic theory meets real-life experience; an on-going dialogue in which we can explore results-orientated leadership and branding strategies.

3 Ways to Advance in Your Career Path in the Creative Industry
short and sweet!
❤❤❤❤❤🙏🏻thanks
Thanks, I'm definitely more interested in Art direction,
interesting take
0:56 can you please clarify this part about environmental designer/ graphics? I know Environmental Design as the discipline where you design spaces but is not determined by your capacity to draw by hand or draw by computer like the graphic designer.
This video was fantastic, lots of topics to learn about. Stay strong!
Hey! Just trying to break that down further. Would you say it’s accurate that a Creative Director is more conceptual and goal driven with the client and senior/junior designers. While an Art Director oversees the production side of things, like printing, and works with designers to be sure everything looks top notch to go to final production. But the Art Director may not be as conceptual as far as brand development. (This maybe too far, but an art director could be like a “Final Production Director” ish).
The fashion industry is saturated with fashion designers, the main fashion brands/houses have cemented themselves a secure place in fashion history. IF there was a television channel the network could conceivably run fashion runway shows it seems all day long all night long every day all day and on weekends. There is plenty of material and competition out there, in the marketplace. Beyond that, there are individuals who are making and creating their own clothes/fashion accessories. The updates in technology is a modern aspect of fashion and arguably industry requirements but those aspects were not the standards during the times of black and white tv and the history of fashion reflects some designers, industry insiders never went to school to study fashion. The history reflects some fashion designers started internships and naturally excelled in their abilities. To anyone with an interest in pursuing a career in fashion, the experience may differ, based on the individual, their abilities and contributions, encouragements offered because there seems to be too much of an attempt to shut people down, up and out of the industry because it is so competitive. If a creative feels discouraged from trying or being accepted they might not try anything and their fashion expertise might be the best there is. Undiscovered talent. As ‘wise’ as the advice here is, it would be my position to offer encouragement to creatives, that they try and that they not become discouraged by other individuals trying to tell them they are nothing if they do not have everything. Some of the greatest talents the world has ever seen, did not have formal training, all of the requirements of qualifications. The importance of schooling is valid but if the individual doesn’t have the creativity to back them, it seems all the schooling in the world can/could fall flat. The record reflects, either side.
Dude, LOVE the intro! I heavily believe in knowing technical knowledge if you're going to be at a CD level.
Local Government is the worst. I land massive contractors with them but no one will work. They all ghost my emails.
I am a Creative Director and in my career, I have seen many many useless brand strategists : they just report what they see, they don’t understand trends. Despite having seen a bunch of toxic CD, rarely have I seen incompetent ones. AD+COPY+CD are more than enough to get it. Good brand strategists are too rare, that’s a fact. A CD is crucial to lead a team, they have the high level strategic and creative vision. Replace the brand strategist with the Copy, free the AD & the Copy time and they’ll smash it while the CD can teach them to level up their thinking
that make scense!
whole heartedly agree with point 1, talk is cheap, might as well just get a project manager
this guy is funny and informative, i like him.
Thank you so much for this.
Thank you so much sir! This solved it for me!
thanks
So inspirational! For the couple of minutes watching and listening, I ordered three books from amazing, Jobs, Musk and more:))
4 years later and still so relevant with so many gems ~ thank you for this guide and you’re doing the lords work Lol!
Hello, thank you for this great advice
I am a multi skill person and intermediate in most of the stuff I am creating. But Art centered and advancing on that topic. I am preparing portfolio for concept and visual production designer position for video games (3A studios) But I understand audio, every mediums of 2D art etc. And constantly observing and developing but I don't know how to approach as a career. I want to become a concept artist and then senior then art director and then the Creative director I want to lead the creations. I write I compose I draw I do anything creation related and really I am not bad any of that I am devoted. But I don't know how the career path is working can you lead me more on that? Nowadayd I am trying to prepare an industry level portfolio as if I had years of experience but in reality I am unemployed but really a bit better drawing than a classic junior designer. What should I do for achieving my goal efficient way?
Thank you for sharing this! So helpful. I can definitely relate
"A little piece of your soul is left with each of your projects." -- Lands SO hard and I talk about this all the time in creative decompression after releasing something. Loved this episode, thank you for producing this and sharing your perspective.
Great vid and advice. Once we get to a certain level, we no longer get our hands held. Many creatives miss this kind of education.
Gosh i need this channel so much. Thank you for existing!!!
Nice video! It would be nice to see a remake more dinamic
Hello. Do you recommend any book or other reference that talks about this topic? Thank you very much!
Please someone help im on the process in applying to colleges I cant decide whats the best route art direction or graphic design, i have a pasión for art and im creative art director route caught my eye for a while but whats the best way also any recommendations for minors like marketing, fine arts, digital art?
Hopefully this got you in time. 90% of creative directors come from graphic design but you’ll need to familiarise yourself with multiple disciplines. Namely, videography, animation/motion graphics, web/ux design and marketing. Most of these, apart from marketing, are covered in a good graphic design degree
@@puqorganicapparel4172Hi, base on your experience, is it possible for a person that has a bachelor in tech become a creative director eventually? If so which route with this degree would help me to get into this position.
seems like all creative directors *yell* :) its a must i guess
You sound like Andrew Tate 😂
I am happy that I discovered this Channel right now. In this point of my agency. That's kinda sad that this channel does not keep going 😔
you should keep this youtube channel going.........................
Excellent
I couldn’t hit subscribe fast enough.
That was very clear! Thanks for the great explaining
You talk about confidence but you put yourself down and call yourself short when you're the national average height. In America Everything is literally built for your height.
Thank you sir for this moment of timeless wisdom that has reached my corner of the 🌎

Awesome video! Thank you!!
How about Audible ? would you recommend these books on Audible ? Thanks in advance .
Wow! Just wow! I’ve been a graphic designer for 20+ years and this vid had my attention the whole time , I felt really like he was talking to me , awesome! I’m 42 yrs old and have been working for a company where I’m the graphic artist and this really really intrigued me , really made me understand what I need to be doing . I found myself not motivated to design anymore only cause the job is not challenging enough for me , super repetitive. This video made really re evaluate my what I’m doing , and what I should be doing , I can design my ass off , but I lack on some of the other points you mentioned. I will definitely be putting all this to work, thank you for an awesome vid 🙏🙏
I'm glad I ran into your videos.
Amazing, im a 5 years experienced graphic/ui designer/ thankyou so much for yr wonderful teaching love it
Thank you for everything .. arts creative design 👍
What are some of the books you like? I love this clip - I’m not in your industry, yet I can see this applying to anyone in an Art-meets leadership-position. Thanks for the fire!
