      Yes, ultraviolence is justified because democracy is all about blind obedience to the state. That just makes so much sense. All protests are about disobedience. Always. "Dr. King would never block traffic." Except he did. The most patriotic expression of democracy is nonviolent defiance to abusive power. But crazy people always say democracy is about obedience and any amount of ultraviolence is justified if we "free people" don't obey. Look at your own fascism.

    So, are you telling me Airbnb is to blame for the SF housing/rental crisis? So you think it has nothing to do with the rich Tech workers that moved to the city in the last decade? Landlords know how much they make, and they priced rentals accordingly. End of story. I left the city cause it changed so much :(

  • @fabianr.1322
    @fabianr.1322 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    The SF housing problem and rents going up 4 times in the last 8 years can't really be due to Airbnb. Thousands of other cities have Airbnb hosts and their rentals didn't go up 4 or 5 times in a few years. There has to be a different problem in that city.

    5:18 "when ppl kill someone else, they should be charged with murder." a dumb statement, that unfortunately for this crowd gets an applause, but in reality makes 0%. not all homicides are murders. but that would take education to understand.

    • @MayaMediated
      @MayaMediated 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TheJsil It's clear that police commit murder and get away with it all the time. In most any other country, a mentally ill person who doesn't comply is easily subdued without being show dozens of times. Police routinely perjure themselves in false police reports then, when the report is shown to be a lie, simply change the report, then change it again and again. Maybe we're not the ones who need to be educated.

    • @Gooftroop45
      @Gooftroop45 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Maya Media you didn't prove you know the law. Shooting someone multiple times does not equal murder. Police reports, once completed, can't be changed and changed and changed. You don't know what you are talking about, yet you have followers.....

    • @MayaMediated
      @MayaMediated 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TheJsil Nor have you proved you know it. But is the law higher in our minds or is what's right the higher calling? Clearly, you have your priorities backwards, as you perform the mental gymnastics necessary to rationalize murder. Cops are a gang, and you have to be willfully blind to not see the clear pattern of racist murders by police as an epidemic in this country.

    This guy's decision to squat meant that 3 days before rehearsals began at Inner Mission, my theater company no longer had a space. I find it insulting that John Kitchen states he is standing up for artists when he cost my company considerable issues due to his actions. When we were finally able to get into the space a month into rehearsals, his presence cast a pall over the production. His crew filmed us from their apartment above the street while we took breaks outside, refusing to answer queries if we were being filmed. This guy is no saint. He is not a freedom fighter or an activist for artist's rights. He certainly caused this artist and his company nothing but trouble.

    How did Yin Wong fair out in the end? Was she able to keep her home? I'm asking not only because I'm concerned that things went in her favor in the end... but also because I received the same kind of letter this past Saturday. Pretty much the same situation, I haven't missed a payment in 20 years and this letter has the word forclosure/lein written all through it. I have to admit... this is scaring me after hearing Yin Wong's situation. I sooo hope things went well for her in the end. I haven't been able to reach PNC yet, hopefully I can do so this morning. According to the letter I have 1 month to resolve this attempt at stealing my home. Unfortunately Yin Wong is/was not alone, I have read way too may cases posted on the internet where people are fighting to keep something they worked very hard for... the roof over their heads! Any advice would be greatly appreciate... and thank you for posting the websites at the end of this video, at least I have a starting point if I need to make contact with calorganize or occupybernal.org. This is a huge mistake and I'm praying that PNC recognizes this... my nerves are shot already and I still have yet to speak with them :-(

    Apparently this "scam" is happening all over the place! I am doing research on the net right now and I am shocked to find soo many complaints about PNC mortgage co. I just read something about PNC sending our house payments to secret bank accounts?? I'm not sure what all this means as of yet, it's Sunday and I can not reach PNC by phone until tomorrow. I live in WA state, have resided in the same home for over 20 yrs. occasionally I might be a couple days late on a payment (never past 5 days) but not once EVER have I missed one. Just received a confusing letter about foreclosure yesterday and quite frankly now I'm scared. I'm hoping this is a huge mistake! Advice would be appreciated.. Thanks.

    I see intelligent people, I see kind hearted people, I see people willing to work together and pool their labor and resources to create abundance and life. Why then do you linger in a death culture that brutalize and suppress you? If you were given warning that a storm will strike and destroy your community, surely no one will hesitate to pick up and move; yet when people live in a social environment that is equally destructive towards peaceful living, no one bother to organize and extract themselves out. All competition in the long run result in a lose-lose scenario. So what happen when the environment collapse and the nations and the cities no longer have the resources to maintain the large military and the large police force. They will be forced to cut loose the bulk of their forces in order to down size and reduce cost. So the ex-military and ex-paramilitary people who spend their entire life training how to kill are going to fall back on the only skills set they know, to take what they need. So we have a choice, either stick around and be preyed upon or extract ourselves out well ahead of time, and let the predators turn on each others when that time come. Ever noticed dogs that are hyper-aggressionalized for fighting have to be kept in separate kennels? Stick them all in the same ground and they turned on each others fighting over scraps. Gathering people who wants to be a part of building a network of stable, fully self sustaining and self sufficient communities (a.k.a. life-boats for the coming environmental collapse). Communities that live and thrive free of money. Peaceful communities that are built upon foundation of : love, spirituality, mercy, generosity, tolerance, intelligent, and wisdom. If you are interested in becoming a part of this grass root efforts, I encourage your reply. This Community ARK Project is looking for peaceful, patience, humble, and kind-hearted people who are awaken and aware of the coming environmental collapse; who want to roll up their sleeves and participate in preparatory efforts. One cannot pull someone out of a raging river standing on a muddy slippery slope. In order to pull someone out of the river, one must stand on a firm solid foundation. A fully self-sufficient community is that solid foundation, upon which we stand in order to rescue other less fortunate who will be affected by the collapsing environment. If we ourselves are struggling to survive as the environment collapse, how can we help others? We need fully self-sufficient communities to shelter and nourish us in order for us to reach out and help others. (Note: this is a gathering process and NOT a recruitment process. When one recruit, one is trying to convince others to join a cause; well, someone else can always come along and convince people to join a different cause. But when one gather, one is speaking to those of like mind who do not need convincing; in their hearts and in their thoughts, they recognize the catastrophe that lay ahead if our modern societies continue on their current path of promoting competition, strife, ignorance and scarcity. This Community ARK Project is lighting a beacon so that those with similar mind set will know that they are not alone in their thoughts and impulses, and that there are others like them out there who desire to come together to pool our effort in order to extract ourselves and place ourselves on a different path, one that promote cooperation, harmony, foresight, and a nurturing environment.)

    Actually, there are many reports of him being treated differently both before and after his arrest. And yes, he broke his oath, just as our politicians broke their oath to protect the constitution. He helped start the Arab Spring and Occupy movements. He helped end the Iraq war when the President could no longer keep troops there after Manning exposed war crimes.

    As a gay Soldier, I proudly stand by SF Pride NOT making Bradley Manning Grand Marshal. His actions are treacherous and goes against his oath as a Soldier. His sexuality has nothing to do with his case, and it shouldn't not be acknowledged as such.
