by this video, i get it that using the same weapon but with alternatives doesnt allows you get more than "stale" freshness bar. Or im confusing smh
I'm quite certain each variation has its own freshness but the resets are tied to the weapon itself I'm assuming this is because using a diferent variation is technically a different weapon but is still the same so they Made it be 50/50 to be balanced
if you think about it, if you put this weapon on the left and bind the attack key to F, this technically is just golden arm, i mean its the arm of a machine, and its yellow (by default), so that means... OH GOD
The battle with sisyphus prime with all the mid air dodging, i must say your skill at aligning and slight mid air adjustments is no less than godly. Ultra Instinct tier fight. 10/10 will watch again

for the first room, using the full pump charge full speed hit immediately wastes a valuable tool for dealing with cerberi, since explosive hits do more damage to cerberi than other ones. using the medium speed overpump hit still deals 9.5 damage (the full speed overpump hit does 13.5 damage) and using it multiple time deals large damage to all of the nearby cerberi. abusing their ai to get them all in a corner and using the pump charge explosions or chainsaw to deal multiple damage is more efficient than flying around the room waiting for things to recharge. the ferryman can just be slowly damaged with medium speed hits or you can deal more damage with full speed hits. also use the pump charge to hit both virtues, and core shooting if the virtues get too high up. the swordsmachine on the bridge is easy to deal with, simply using a overpump full speed hit and a regular full speed hit combined with a chainsaw ejection will kill it almost immediately. the sentries are also somewhat simple to deal with. hitting them with a regular full speed hit and either a core or a chainsaw (or a direct ground slam) will kill them. an overpump full speed hit will also do the trick. the schisms are not a problem either, only having 5 health. the tiny hallway can be annoying, but using the streetcleaners simple pathfinding and a sawblade, you can hit all three enemies at once, and using a pump charge explosion you can deal with whatevers left. the swordsmachines in the second arena are annoying and i dont like them. they can be annoying to deal with, but dealing big chunks of damage and then flying away is typically a viable strategy. if the sentry is about to fire and you're in the air, away from the cover of the stairs, consider using the rooves of the buildings as cover, or the beams between them if its that urgent. the malicious faces and virtues both die to one full-speed hit. the mindflayers, despite their high health and speed and small hitbox, are easy enough if you dash through their projectiles and attacks and just deal damage when you can. it is not possible to use telekinesis to pick up the skull, so arms are mandatory. despite the high health, the insurrectionists are fairly simple if you just deal damage when you can (consider setting them on fire for damage over time). although getting them to fall in the blood river through their mid air attack is a free instakill, it is risky because you have to be above the blood river, which can be fatal if you run out of wall jumps or stamina due to having to avoid their attacks. in the first of two blood tunnels, using one of the virtues to fling yourself to the sentry and using the maurices projectiles to kill it is an easy way to kill two birds with one stone. the remaining enemies can be annoying to deal with considering the tight space of the blood tunnel and the high speed of the jackhammer, but dashing during or right after a hit can be an easy way to reset your momentum. in the second of two blood tunnels, killing the maurice and the end will kill both sentries, due to the shockwave. the cerberi are fairly easy to deal with, but their higher health of 22 can be annoying to work with. in the last arena, you will die. this will happen atleast once. gathering the three main enemies (swordsmachines and ferrymen) into one area and hitting them with overpump full speed hits, saws, and cores (if you can) is a fairly effective way of getting rid of them. the strays are inconsequential to deal with. however, make sure to not use up either your sawed-on or pump charge full speed hits. the sentries are incredibly difficult to deal with. using a saw and full speed hit or a overpump full speed hit will kill one of them. using both of these to eliminate two sentries and then using the large floating pillar in the high center of the arena to hide from the other two is the only strategy other than just hoping that i've found to work. after you've killed the four sentries, three virtues will spawn. hopefully, since you should've hit the last sentry with a full speed hit, you're in the air, making it easy to hit either of the two virtues on the side with a full speed hit. the one on the opposite side should be your next target, due to how easy it is to hit. due to the ceiling next to the middle virtue, it may be harder to hit, though a few medium speed hits after dashing towards it and a core shot is usually enough to deal with it. the rest of the enemies are fairly easy to deal with. sisyphus is incredibly hard and learning how to parry with the jackhammer and just getting used to the timing is the only strategy i have. jackhammer parrying requires hitting the torso, not whatever the enemy used (hand or foot or whatever). torso shots are very annoying to get and can be inconsistent at times. i have no more advice, other than that trying will probably get you somewhere

I feel like a P rank is possible if you enabled arms. and maybe if you kept only the Knuckleblaster? so that you wouldn't be able to parry, but still wouldn't have to go back to the start of the level to grab the skull, wasting a bunch of time.
the time requirement isnt the problem. its style.
if you unequip all other weapons, you get much better style points because you aren't constantly in the 'stale' style multiplier

Gameplay reason: it isn't in the arms category, it's an alternate version of the shotgun, it uses the same controls as weapons. Lore reason: it isn't attached to v1 like an arm, it holds it in it's arm.

The shotgun is also the arm of the Swordsmachine, but that doesn’t count as an arm because it’s simply not an arm, same goes for the Jackhammer as it’s simply not counted as an arm
you should try this but with only the revolvers, slab marksman to spice it up Also why do you never use the blue jackhammers core sniping? It would have been super useful
