Komorebi is a tiling window manager for Windows and in this video we will go over some of the key concepts of why you would want to use a tiling window manager. a very solid video :)
@@saleenapatel Thank you 😀
there is a 3rd option, it involves murd- I mean, it's called a "scrolling window manager"... have you found any for windows?
I haven't tried any scrolling window managers personally, but I think it would be very hard to do in Windows since you have to rely on their API to do the tiling.
Another con: The license isn't exactly open source friendly.
Looks like another reason to stick with GlazeWM
very detailed explanation! thank you ✨✨
I liked this video so much I added it to the komorebi README! 😃
also, komorebi also have tabs, so, in a "wokspace", you can have multiple tabs for a windows
Great comment, I have never used that feature, I didn't really find it necessary, my thought process is that it adds a lot of nested complexity, but I am gonna do a installation + configuration video as well and that is a feature I will have to give a try before that. How do you use it? When do you find it more useful to split a container into tabs compared to opening a new container or moving it to another workspace?
@polle5555 I like to have things related close, and I usually prefer having the programs in full screen, so I have default workspaces for my programs, in my first one I only have terminals and code editors, I want them full screen so that is one place that I could use tabs, in my second one I usually have two browser instances open, I configured komorebi to open my browser always on this workspace, I use one instance for work an another for my personal things, and my third one for miscellaneous stuff, telegram, discord, obs, whatsapp, file explorer
That shit be 🔥 fam no cap frfr
