The German audience calling out in the beginning were a very rude lot, imo. Rory Gallagher was a phenomenon in his day and will always be missed by his fans and fellow musicians. Rory’s dreadful health problems took him too early. I can’t say I was a big fan but there’s no denying his talent. The audience should have just been polite to the opening act. Frankie and his band certainly gave them more than an hour of fabulous entertainment and his fans there appreciated that. As a Scot I was proud of our Frankie who was a prolific songwriter and wonderful performer until the brain aneurism cut his performing days short. Thankfully Frankie survived the 5 month long coma and is still alive in July, 2024.

Y’all This was before lip sync became 100%. You had to have real talent back in the day Now everyone lip syncs y’all have no idea how hard it was back in the day when they had to go out and actually sing, it’s rough on ur vocal cords..

I saw this live (almost) on TV when the festival was running, What an amazing band - especially the drummer. Ben's voice just about manages to nail it.

Karl is a legend. One of the best songwriters & artists of all time. IYKYK. RIP to one of my musical heroes.
