Ripper is always in tune. He has the ability to micro adjust while always taking vocal risks. That's why he has such incredible tension. Each phrase he can do in 20 different ways, like DIO did, but he constantly pushed the boundaries of head, witchy, chest, diaphragm. What a fucking badass.

Sorry for the bad English, not my first language. Goosebumps,It reminds me of the good times with my Father when i was a Child..when we had a good relationship... Even for just those few moment, music was like magic. He made a CD, with Metallica, nirvana, slipknot, judas priest and... This performance. I finally found it, this will be in my memory forever.

The Ripper is truly a gem! Hard to find, and easy to loose... I really hope he is going to sing again. It doesn't matter how young/old he is. His energy is incredible, even with no stage experience comparing to other kings...

Awesome version. Reminds me of the Disturbed version of Sound of Silence. I know this song from from when my buddy bought the original album. It always spoke to me with melancholy dramatic power. Then I happened upon a Joan Baez live version and realized this was her original. Excellent but of course. But the powerful vocals and music arrangements on this take it to another level. Poetic and kick ass.

IMO Ripper's performance is technically impeccable. His voice is magnificent!! However, he can't transmit the wealth of feelings, this bitter nostalgia that the song is carrying. On the other hand, Halford's accoustic version.....
