That's actually the point of making these videos. I teach children as young as three years old. Also, it's not quite as easy as it seems to play in time to music. How about if you film yourself playing along to the same song and share the link here?

Thank you so much for posting! Have you been able to try student solos within the song with buckets? Or allow for a pause for student soloing? I am starting with K-6 on bucket drumming and I love all the videos, but want to make it more complicated for the older kids. What's your take?
Hi Holly, You're welcome. So far, I've found that songs with more complex patters (more syncopation for instance) makes it fun and challenging for the older elementary kids. Here's a video of a recent performance of one of my elementary classes, and includes a handful of more complicated songs. th-cam.com/video/VTbup6mef6E/w-d-xo.html. Soloing requires building a vocabulary to make it sound good: rudiments, licks, rhythmic understanding, phrasing, dynamics, etc. Since I meet with these kids once per week, it's difficult to pull off. However, with the right song (something like Stepping by Babatunde Olatunji), I think it's doable! I'm going to try this myself!

They can make money. When you upload a video, TH-cam allows you to choose that option, which puts an ad at the beginning of your video. I don't do that.
