Ajaccio, Corsica - Marella Voyager - Highlights of the Mediterranean
It’s Day 3 of our Highlights of the Mediterranean cruise and our first port, Corsica! We are ported in Ajaccio from 8am until 4pm. We have no excursion booked and visited the port independently.
Yesterday was a sea day so it’s been over 24 hours since we were on dry land. We will visit Rome tomorrow which we know will be a really busy day, so want to preserve our energy and relax today in Ajaccio. We spent a few hours relaxing on the beach, before having a stroll around the old town, grabbing a drink and a bite to eat.
We really enjoyed our day, Ajaccio is a quaint and quiet, picturesque port which is definitely something to make the most of, a lot of other ports are quite industrial. Join us on our first ever vlog as we spend a day in Rome! We visited the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and loads more, all in under 7 hours in the Eternal City. Thinking of going on this cruise next year, I would love to do Rome and after seeing this, It will be what we will do. Though I am in a wheelchair and have a companion to push me about, just worried the coach would not take my wheelchair.

Thank you for this, I am cruising on the Voyager for my first cruise in July and Rome is one of our stops. We had discounted it because so many people have told me it’s a waste and you cant see everything but seeing this has changed my mind. Great information. Thank you. 😊
Thank you for your comment Leanne 😊 it's true you can't see everything but what you can see will be well worth it! Rome is such a beautiful city. Take your comfiest shoes and lots of water, we did 17k steps but had a fantastic day and would do it again!
