Changing the Main Jet in a Dellorto SHA Carburetor
In this video we show you how to change the main jet in a Dellorto SHA carburetor. This is an easy process and only takes a couple minutes to complete. It is a good idea to replace your bowl gasket every time you take the bowl off to prevent leaks. Below are links to the main jets used in Dellorto SHA carburetors and the bowl gasket.

I'm sure the port timing degree wheel numbers are exactly where you want them.....I think the improvements that could be made to it are. #1 Polishing the ports and #2 Beveling some sharp edges to round them......But both of those would only be a slight increase....I can see from the intake port that I should port the intake boost port on my 47mm engine much wider. I'm gonna go wider & see what happens.
Thank you for the comment but I am not sure what it is in reference to. Is there something you would like to see a video on?

Can you help explain why the throttle cable is so different the. A PHVA 17.5 i cant get this 19mm Dellorto carb to work on my 2001 jog 70cc Minarelli

Hi denny. I recntly bought a Dellorto sha 16.16 for my moped. It runs like crap under load. I can stall the engine with starter fluid pouring over the cap which serves the slide. The paper gasket is in place and screws are tight. Should that area be gas/air tight? If i remove the carb and tilt it. gas will pour out from that seam. Ty m
It sounds like you have an air leak at the cap. Do you have a clone carburetor or an authentic carburetor? Have you tried to change the gasket?
I just got a racing clone im curious since im coming from a PHVA w cable choke. Where is the choke on this carb and is it Automatic or do i need to buy a Pull choke????
It’s possible your carburetor did not come with a choke but you can always add one. You can add a cable or lever choke. You can email us at info@dennycycles.com pictures of your carburetor and we will send you links to the correct choke for it.
Do i need to buy the head of the cylinder too and the gasket or can i keep the stock cylinder head? Can i use this kit on a A3
This will work with the stock cylinder head. This is designed to work with the stock components. This will not work with the Tomos A3 engine. This will only fit the Tomos A35 engine. We do have a kit for the Tomos A3 as well. Here is a link to it: www.dennycycles.com/tomos-a3-44mm-top-end-speed-kit/
Kannst du bitte mak den power 1 65cc tomos zylinder auspacken ?

Those screw on caps are such shit, takes you 5 minutes to align the thread properly when screwing on
We have not had any issue with them. Do you have an authentic Dellorto carburetor or do you have a clone / copy?

What carburetor do you have on it currently?
if i have 70cc airsal and Dellorto PHBG 19 DS Racing what kind of jet should run it bcs i've tried 50-92 yets non of them work it just gets flooded
Hello, Jetting is too dependent on a variety of variables (temperature, elevation, etc.) for us to provide you with an accurate answer.
Great review!, I am really interested to know is there any difference in portmap on the dmp vs airsal? On the honda mt5 the airsal piston only has one ring while dmp has two rings. Not many have tested the dmp in stock form over here yet and given reviews , on honda the airsal is a real tourqey low rpm cylinder wich is wierd since 2 piston rings does give an slight edge and better tourqe just below 7-8000 rpm cheers/ScanianDude
We will check on the port maps and get back to you. They appear to be very similar.
@@DennyCycles wow! Thank you very much :)

@@DennyCycles I want to buy a 70cc from DMP, is it good?
@@S4mo38 We sell both the DMP and the Airsal kits. The Airsal kits are are preference. They seem to be finished slightly better and be a little better kit out of the box but overall they are very comparable. The Airsal kits also include top end gaskets and other parts not included with the DMP kit.
@@S4mo38 The Airsal 44mm would be my recommendation if you are looking for a budget friendly kit in the 44 - 45mm range. It will have a dual ring piston as compared to the single ring piston on the 45mm cylinders. This leads to a little longer longevity.
@@DennyCycles I want to put that cylinder on my jawa 21 so I need to do some work on it anyways, just if the quality is good enough
Do I nedd tu drill somthing on my engine? (E50)
This kit will require you to bore and weld your engine cases as well as add some material. This has an angled exhaust port - standard Puch flat port exhausts will need to be modified to work on this cylinder. The largest kit you can install on the Puch E50 engine without any modifications is the Puch Airsal 46mm. Hey there I ordered a few things lately off your eBay under David Allen Puckett and was wondering the DMP reed kit looks like it has a thick rubber gasket on both sides is that correct? And will I still need the thin paper gaskets? Also what head do you recommend with this cylinder? Stock?
The DMP kit does not have rubber gaskets. I’m not really sure what you referring to about the thick rubber gaskets. Did you watch the video where we go over the two cylinders? We also have videos going over them individually if you look at our other videos. In regards to the head, the DMP 44mm head for Tomos A35 works well with both kits.

I bought a phvb 22mm DD to replace my stock 20.5 ED. Whats the difference between ED and DD? and will the DD fit on my gilera runner 180fxr?
We do not know what will fit your specific bike. The difference in the DD and ED are the features.
@@DennyCycles what you mean features?
The last letter is always a D for right hand, S for left hand. Both these carburetors would be right hand. The bodies of both carbs look the same, both have oil feed, vacuum take off & fuel connection same type and place. R1178 PHVB 20.5 ED Comes with a cable and has an anti tamper type mixture screw. R1153 PHVB 22 DD has no cable and standard mixture screw. These should be interchangeable on most applications.
