That lady was doing all the work while the guy did nothing. He was just "HANGING AROUND"

The other guy came in close proximity a few times before the collision. Maybe this should have alerted you to keep more of a good lookout. Always, always expect other pilots to NOT be keeping a good lookout. Fly safe 👍

Well mistakes after mistakes 1. why u so close to each other, 5 or 6 in total. 2. no organisation of the group, disaster to be expected. 3. your last mistake saved his life, you had to cut your main para,like cut all shit ant after you are safe to use your reserve. Never fligh close to others so many of them are total idiots. Be smart and stay away from these groups,they are losers on led in a grave. Better take care of your self

I'm a hangglider pilot and one thing I hate is flying with others. I honestly do not understand the attraction of flying close to others but often other pilots would comment about how cool it is to fly with others. None sense

I dont know anything about this sport. However, if it was me, I would be training myself to pull my reserve properly. That looked like a right mess and if she has been in an emergency on her own she may not had had the time to pull her reserve. Those skills need to be fine tuned, next time you may not be so lucky. Glad it worked out this time.

When two paragliders swing toward each other the combined closing speed is quite high anyway, but the fisheye lens (which significantly exaggerates distance) gives a sense of inevitability like it came out of nowhere. That's because it hides how much risk was already being taken. It seemed to me as a child such a beautiful sport, so effortless and free. In reality the vigilance needed in a crowded thermal detracts somewhat. The array of colourful gliders, pretty from the ground, is mutual danger up there.

Turning right, but focused almost exclusively to the right, rarely scanning left or forward. In a crowded thermal, danger can come from ANY direction and any altitude, not just in the direction you are turning.
