My Goofiest TES3 character: Snak Gro-Gunk, the One Punch Orc Shaman... The Stark Naked Master of Fisting, Chugging, Teleporting and Summoning. I would have named him Bruce Boner, but that would have made role playing him a bit of a stretch. He did occasionally have to wear pants, though.

As a strictly amateur metallurgist and blade making enthusiast, I find swords in TES3, ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE SWORDS, AND NOT LIKE GIANT FUCKING PADDLES, unlike in Oblivion and Viking Circle Jerk aka Skyrim. I used to love modding Oblvion, but I got really tired of the scripting engine being an unstable, geriatric, pile of shit. Moving on... TES3 has my favorite magic system of all the TES games. As for the combat... you're not dealing with hit sponges, and I find stagger and stun lock to be more frequent and realistic than in the subsequent games. Some people complain about the supposedly weird hand to hand system, but if you fortify strength, your character becomes a literal One Punch Man. Even if you have to do a final kidney punch to finish, you can still KO anything in one punch and just walk away, with strength fortified high enough. Alchemy makes some really weird character builds entirely possible and paying trainers is actually just as realistic as grinding in the later games, without the lame time sink. The only gameplay elements TES3 lacks to make it the absolute best fantasy RPG are the hardcore mode and skill related speech checks of Fallout New Vegas, the random encounters and the regional bounties of Skyrim, the world reactivity of Kenshi, and the simulation elements found in Daggerfall. All that are entirely doable will be entirely doable in OpenMW. Someone, and I hope it doesn't have to be me, but I'm afraid it might, needs to get the OpenMW CS up to the level of the engine itself and beyond the original, which still has a more accessible UI, but that's just about it. The original CS has a truly horrible script editor, i.e. the debugger is just a steaming pile. With Tamriel Rebuilt and the rest of the map additions just getting better and better, it sure as hell deserves a modding tool that allows serious amateur indie devs to enrich the game world. I have some programming experience, among quite a few other things, but I'm better at UI design, so I guess I'll have to take a stab at overhauling the OpenMW CS once I'm better acquainted with QT5 and the version of C++ used for OpenMW.

Straight up warrior and totally full of himself because he is just ridiculously talented, tho I named his class "Sword Singer". What character creation mod did you use here?

Also, I cant remember if it's a permanent fix, or just for the spell's duration, but the Calm Person spell targeted as an AoE will definitely help with your mercenaries.
