hometown of the pres!
Yes, they say Calvin Coolidge used to walk down Puritan Road every day to Fisherman's Beach, then back to White Court on Little's Point around 1925.
@@StephenDoty84 huh i meant pres dave portany
@@MassPickers Dave is nothing -- I'm talking about the president of the United States! In the 1920's, Coolidge had a house in Swampscott, which he returned to each summer, with Secret Service agents protecting him as he walked around.
Wow. Tim Heidecker watch your back.
Gotta love the scully muldy connection.
MORE MORE MMMOOOORRRRR
I live here at swampscott :D
I used to live there in 2016. Directly across the street from King's Beach. The chalet-like house with the glass sided sundecks. I live in Manchester by the Sea now but I really miss Swampscott. Though the traffic out front by the monument got a little crazy at times. LOL. But a great town nonetheless.
Fun-ny!
Dude are you stupid your talking about Massachusetts here it’s not on the Pacific Ocean that’s where calafornia is on the other side of America it’s in the atlantic🤦♀️0:20
hey Brooke, thanks for reaching out. you're not totally wrong here, but as many historians now know (including my great uncle Joe Flanders), when Swampscott was discovered, the Great Atlantic was at the time The Specific Ocean, and the Pacific (on the other side of the USB) was of course the Atlantic. in 2000 they swapped names out of boredom, giving the town its original title of "Swapscott." I hope this clears things up a bit. you can contact my dad Zander on here (this is his son Alex by the way and I'm 5) if you have any other questions.
The Tobin Brothers Swampscott not swapscott
The Tobin Brothers also the high school is actually really new and is probably the youngest not oldest
It's a parody, I get it even if I'm from Gloucester!
lol i feel so sad now

My family has lived in swampscott Spence 1627
"you're not alone" is one artists howl into the endless night. It is the nail that holds the soul of a man to the frame of his body. it is a plea for more souls and minds to come out of the wood work and join together in a collective scream against everyday tedium repetition and routine. The Tobin Brothers are one of the last bastions of true and honest film making. 10/10
Documentaries rarely reach such esteemed levels of artistic impact as to be considered a force of acculturation. But the Tobin Brothers have once again shown us that they do not intend to play by the rules what "should" be done with the medium. Here they have shown us that our truest and most vulnerable selfs are often hiding in plain sight, the simple power behind the audio and visual steamroller that is "Hiking with my friends" forces the viewer to drag up his/her demons, kicking and screaming into the cleansing sunbeams of existential realization. 10/10
An experimental tour de force. Inspirational, crushing, powerful. film has not seen a more innovative mind since Alejandro Jodorowsky. The piece demands answers to questions that we all have felt but never had the words or the courage to ask. 10/10
Brothers opens with a musical gusto that makes John Williams sigh in sweet ecstasy. The score as well as the cinematography go one to carry what could be one of the most powerful pieces of art that this film critic has ever experienced. 10/10
part 2 of what could be youtubes and dare i say the whole of the internets greatest story of family strength. Brothers is a monument to what it feels like to be a person. You, Me, them, all of us. 10/10
Comparing film is often a difficult task. But "A Tribute to Swampscott" stands atop an alter that is reserved only for films that go on to shape the lives of countless viewers. The film is not so much a piece of art as it is a mile stone in the human experiment. For years to come critics and fans alike will watch in baffled amusement as the very foundations of society, love, pain, nature and the arts are thoroughly examined and then vivisected on screen. The town of Swampscott its self is one part pressure cooker and one part Hadron collider, accelerating the souls of its people into what can only be described as a primordial chicken soup for the soul. From this soup we are show the life of a struggling middle aged man and his mentally challenged nephew. 10/10
Many causal viewers will dismiss such blatant disregard for propriety. Critics will scowl at their flippant and overt use of symbolism. But the film medium has been molded, this time by the somewhat ham fisted pugilism employed by the expert Tobin Brothers. This film, unlike their other endeavors into the soul, has nothing to hide. This is not a riddle to be solved, but a rock on witch to cling. This film was not made for an audience, in fact it was not made by any stretch of the word. It is simply a reaction to a world that does not wish for it to exist. Again the Tobin brother have delivered a product that will help define and evolve the human ethos. 10/10
