And who is going to pay for all the infrastructure that will be required to support the new housing that makes developers rich? My intuition tells me that existing homeowners costs will go up and they will have to live with all the inconveniences of infrastructure improvement projects so developers and future occupants can benefit. Got to love how socialism screws one group to help another and creates division and tribalism.

the price of rent is only depednant on one thing...are people paying the price? if yes, it is the correct price,,, the law of supply and demand...
Then why dont you pay the plumber who bills at $140/hr or HVAC tech at $150/hr and often a 2 hour minimum ... or get responsible and buy your own house ... America is the land of opportunity - always was and still is! My parents came here with NOTHING and did great because they were willing to work hard and passed that work ethic on to us kids!

I started with nothing but my clothes and a good job in 1962, and now am retired, had seven differnt houses, with no College degree...the last people who still had the dream and it came true..

As long as people vote for taxe increases on apartment buildings your rent is going to go up. The land lord isn't going to pay for it they are going to raise rents to cover it. Soooooo when people think they are sticking to the big guy they are stupidly sticking it to themselves. They are basically voting for a rent increase on themselves.
