The alpine station was finally wired up to the PLC control to allow train-crossings. A cross-ower was installed instad of two points, in the lower alpine line return-loop, in order to fully automate the last remaining section of the branchline. This added the capacity of 2 more trains to the automated branch-line shadow-station. In total, there can now be 6 trains waiting, and up to 3 tains running, on the whole branchline system.

Full ride from shadow station 1, through the main station, through the branch-line shadow-station, up to the alpine shadow-station. -And all the way back. The main helix footage, as well as most waiting-time in shadow-stations and main station has been edited out. Even though, this video clocks in at around 12 minuttes. It took a long time to record, as in reality only every third train will go...

A full run starting from shadow station #1 (Level 1), up through the helix, through the main station, up the branchline, through the branchline shadow station, up to the alpine station, through the alpine shadow station (Level 9). Then back again. Although most waiting time has been left out, the video still takes 10 minuttes. In total the Märklin E44 took over an hour to return to the starting...

Thanks, It certainly brings me lot of fun tinkering with the elektro-automatics. Part of the M-track has later been changed for K-track, for better electrical perfomance...

Thanks! In total I own 3 6600 units, and was planning to use them for a shuttle train between the main station and the alpine station. However I am slowly leaning off this idea now, as it will interfere with the already heavy branchline trafic (controlled by the PLC) and the fact that it only allow older analogue locos to be used with the units.

Good old Calw station from the golden Kibri times. I should probbly get another one, but will probably stay with it, and just try to repair and paint it.
Einfach fantastisch, was aus dieser Anlage geworden ist. Der Fahrbetrieb sieht sehr realistisch aus und die Streckenfuehrung is toll. Has Du einen Gleisplan dieser Anlage?

How many tracks do you have on each level and how far are the levels spaced from each other?
Thanks for your comment! There are 9 levels (including the small top alpine shadow-station) with roughly 10cm between each level. "Tracks per level" varies greatly, and I couldn´t tell you. -But if you refer to the 2 main shadow-stations, there is a total of 15 tracks, each 5 meters usefull length.

make your titles more attractive, like Marklin E19 with Rivarossi 1962--1965 Rheingold in cobalt bleu / beige livery, anyway a very beutifull trainset.

I'm very surprised seeing DSB mini trains, not to mention I didn't know you could get a model train of the ICE train, just wow hehe. I see most of these trains on daily basis, especialy the cargo trains, wagons included. Ironicly, one is driving by -right- now. Not that is the coolest to live next to a railroad :)
that´s a very simple and nice layout, not to much of tracks and great to work on the enviroment.

That is coming along nicely. When finished, your S section will make some nice shots of long trains giving a snake effect.
Your modellbahn plus music gave me a great thrill - it's just the shot in the arm to spur on any continental railway modelling fan. It's good that you took videos before the scenery gets laid and hides much of the trackwork. Most of the trackwork on my BurgerBahn (which is on the net) is hidden from view in a similar way to which I anticipate yours will be, so I eagerly look forward to seeing how your marklincafe layout develops.

Just got into European trains myself this year but I'm working on a layout outside in my garden with LGB stuff. Anyways, I'll be checking back for new videos and updates! Have fun!
