Roy used to come by and jam at a friend of mines house in Falls Church VA back in the mid 70s. He was such a friendly guy, real laid back, and when he got a guitar in his hands, it was like the world stood still and listened, he was that amazing! Another one that left way too early.
THE SOUND IS MONOPHONIC. THAT'S EXACTLY HOW IT SHOULDN'T SOUND ON VINYL, EVERYTHING SHOULD BE IN STEREO. - th-cam.com/video/KQiXW7VD8JY/w-d-xo.html
Alucinante
One of the many missing from spotify- people are missing out-one of my favourites from the seventies, someone has it hope they are enjoying it.
Muito.... muito bom

Why is this album not on streaming services? It's a gem, and an album I always return to.
It's on both Tidal and Qobuz.

First time to hear this (and I've been listening to Roy since 1971). I hear some Pink Floyd influence in there. Nice one.
I learned to play guitar because of roy Buchanan. I'm sorry about what in 1988 or whenever it happened He will always be my greatest guitar heroes of all time. He's the reason I learned to play the guitar
I started jamming to Roy in 1984. To this record. Got to see him live in here in Australia 1988, months before his untimely demise. Will cherish the memory of his music, till I die.
Roy Buchanan is greatest guitarist that ever was. Rip my wonderful brother. So long ago.
@jilesfamily2653 j'ai dit a peut prêt 1 commentaires plus haut ( Guy platteau Marseille)
On dirait que c'est pink Floyd non ? Au moins l'entrée en matière ha ha ( Guy platteau Marseille)
Proud to be the 666th like 😜🤟keep it rockin roy!!!
Thank you for allowing this sonic gem to be heard. I saw RB around 8x in NY . A great amount of of the times it was either opening or headlining with Larry Coryell. What a fantastic guitarist: Ask Mike Bloomfield, Garry Moore , Jeff Beck all played tributes to this man. A true leader Never got the Recognition He Deserves. As A True Guitar God What a mind that can be translated through the guitar. This album captures his true greatness. WOW!!!!!
I appreciate that you have taken this off an Album… a purist!
If I could find this in nice clean LP form, I wouldn’t *dream* of playing it on my turntable until I bought a new needle.
Ich war vom Cover derart angetan, dass ich mir die LP „blind“ kaufen musste. Habe es nie bereut. Der Titelsong ist für mich auch nach 45 Jahren immer noch eines meiner absoluten Lieblingsstücke.
Thank you for posting this album👍👍👍👍👍
This was the first album I bought after seeing him at PSC in 1978. It changed my musical life and Blues became my main genre of choice for listening. An incredible talent gone to soon and an under appreciated talent.
He may be unknown, but definitely not under appreciated by those of us fortunate enough to know who he is. Just the best to me.
Listen at 0.75 speed. Its heaven
Guter Tipp! 👍
Just stunning, still as good as when I first listened back in the 70's, saw him at the Tivoli in Sydney
im just now discovering this masterpiece 🥹
Some people think the blues. Is sad its not its😅
Ive heard so many greats 😊
Anyone who tags Buchanan as under-rated is a fool, he had adulation aplenty in the time he lived. Maybe you're shallow. He played his heart out - and gave lots of other musicians their album of tunes to steal, whole chord sequences, textures, melodies. You know music? Then you can hear this fact.
Down record - really sad-making. Whiskey-drinkers like Roy ... cheers, you bastards. He had life to the fingertips and makes current musicians look DEAD.
Get me back to my hell hole
Just great talent. This music has brought me back to reality more than once.
many years passed since i last did hear it, but still explodes in my stomach. ty for uploading
ROY was a sad man but his music made him whole what a guitarist and this album was different than his other works here he went cosmic this is my favorite from him rip brother Pete knows
Yeah, yeah yeah fk yeah!!
What a loss he was. Really is no comparison. This was actually the first album I ever heard from him. Been many since that though.
Late 70s..... HeadShop browsing. And this was playing....... They had the used album in the little wood display.... I saw the cover and all the goosebumps I had ,i bought it 3 dollars. Very Dreamy memory. I was sold
So great to see people enjoying the amazing Master of the Telecaster Roy Buchanan. It's so sad he's been lost in time and never received the respect he deserved.
The respect, kudos, and MONEY.
Title track is deserving of one of my all-time top ten jams. And this whole album is ear candy.
You are 100% right on bro.
First time hearing this was in early 80's, so glad for ytube and all it's offerings. What a great musician Roy was and such a strange ending to his life too. :( RIP Guitar Hero
A Diamond between Divine Beauty of Cosmo and Diabolic Passion of the Earth. The giantness of Good and Evil in 40 minutes. Here we are in Sharrock's Ask The Ages. A Dirty Reflections about Ask.
Simply the best ! Every note so clean and clear and easy to distinguish. We will never witness the like of him again in our lifetime Love that this posting is from vinyl.
Thsnks for posting. I never had a Roy Buchanan album but did get to see him in 1978. Absolutely amazing, still talking about it. Wish I had this CD to listen in the car.
I wish I had a nice clean vinyl album to play on the turntable. Oh, and a new needle for it first.
I’m 36 and just discovered this album. I’m speechless and so jealous of the music my parents could experience 😮
