    Used to study for hours daily to play concert level trumpet, play some piano and other instruments and have a synthesizer. To me this is not a piano. It may be fun to play around with a bit but it's too much a "fair" instead of a serious instrument. And the casing in comparison to any real yamaha acoustic piano, just looks terrible. Just my opinion.

    • @thepianoguyspianostore

      It is a soft, rubberized material that cushions the hammer shank and brings it to a stop, which very accurately replicates the feeling of a traditional felt hammer striking a string.

    what is the difference in the key action in a 845, 885 for example

    • @thepianoguyspianostore
      @thepianoguyspianostore 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The key material is the same for the CLP845, CLP875, and CLP885. They feature wooden keys (white keys), synthetic ebony and ivory keytops for a better tactile feel, and escapement. The CLP875 and CLP885 add linear graded hammers. Every single key on an acoustic grand piano keyboard is weighted differently. The 88-key Linear Graded Hammers of the CLP875 and CLP885 faithfully duplicates this graded touch with differing weights and key return on each one of its keys. It allows for a more authentic touch. The CLP885 adds counterweights. In an acoustic grand piano, counterweights are embedded in the keys to balance the weight of the hammers. The CLP885 features carefully adjusted counterweights, offering an improved playability when playing pianissimo with a light touch, and better key return in rapid passages. The counterweights are hidden inside the keys so they cannot be seen. Hope that helps! If you have any additional questions, you can also call/text 866-75-PIANO.

    I owned a Yamaha C-7 Grand Piano for many years, a few years ago now, we downsized our home and my beloved c-7 just overpowered our new home so I went to the local Yamaha dealer to look at a smaller piano. The CVP 809 was just introduced and when I played it I could not believe the sound, the exact touch of my grand piano, the ability to play at 3 in the morning if I'm inspired using the headphones, I bought it, and never missed my C-7. It also replaced my hammond organ, because it has a multitude of instruments, and styles and so much more. Met Craig at a concert he gave at the local Clearwater Yamaha dealer, and he is incredible on this instrument ! Go to your local Yamaha dealer and hear this amazing instrument, you'll be glad you did ! ! ! I never played a "keyboard" that I was happy with until this one.
