Wow, well filmed by the way. Hope this gets many viewes. What an interesting example of when weather turns on you haha. It's really funny seeing the transition from almost dry pavement to 2cm water everywhere haha.
The 95th St. and 119th St. bridges over I-35 also have traffic running on the wrong side of the road. At least there's a decent barrier between the lanes. Not so over towards Parker.
On those two roads those are called Diverging Diamonds
@@redwormcharlie Whatever they are called, I've had people coming at me going the wrong way down the lane because it's so counter-intuitive. And this was in broad daylight.
"Triangles" or shark teeth, are yield signs pointing toward approaching traffic. But why the double yellow line on your right, I have no idea. Also, motorcyclists should be watching out for vehicles as well - and quit doing stupid stuff.
Yellow line? Because that's the on-ramp to the highway. It's a trainwreck of a design.
If you're driving in the US yellow always on your left. End of discussion.
Where exactly is this? I want to see it for myself. I live near Topeka
Shawnee Mission Parkway Eastbound making a left onto Widmer. The location should be 39.01254890213467, -94.74663529878445 it looks like, from above, there SHOULD be a cross-over to the left side of the pavement. But there's no holding lights or yield signs. Piss-poor design.
Why isn't there a left turn and straight arrow on the pavement duh!
It's all the tornadoes in kansas that flip the intersections around including the stop signs. 😜
aren't those yield markings? I don't think you're supposed to drive that direction.
Uh, who is going to tell him?.... Those aren't arrows, that is a YIELD marking. You were on the wrong side of the road.

@@deboraheburnett8902 There are not just one but THREE signs visible that prove me correct. The stop sign on the right, the ONE-WAY sign on the median pointing left, and the DO NOT ENTER sign also on the median before the one-way sign. But those road markings would not be up to DOT standards in most states.
@@deboraheburnett8902 Sheesh. Check my other reply. I sent you a link. I don't care if you live in the area. Those "arrows" are a nationwide standard for YIELD and are not arrows at all . The traffic goes the OTHER way over them. Does Kansas not test this stuff???

Looks like it was a simple uncontrolled crossing that was painted to alter the flow.sometime after widening the highway. If you have to call anyone stupid, save it for the people who signed off on this atrocity. Although they were probably more cheap and lazy than stupid.
Poorly designed. Needs a small median with a stay left arrow on each side and possibly a do not enter on the right.
Roads in Kansas have all sorts of nonsense like this. I swear it feels like there are just as many highway exits on the wrong side of the highway as there are on the right.

Where did you get the fiberglass core at?
It used to be a local supplier of kite materials. You can google for kites, that's the best start to finding fiber glass cores, you can also look for flag suppliers as well. Hollow core is the new rave of weapon cores.

For a beginner, would you recommend building it buying First? I looked at forge foam for a purchase but as a part time worker full time student dropping 60 bucks on a sword is a bit much in my mind. What's your reccomendation?
If you need a cheap sword Sanctum Swords on Etsy will get you a decent blade for cheap.

They can have any kind of cross guard as long as it does not pass through a 2 inch hole perpendicular to the blade.
I can see this video being good for people who have made them before but as a first time person, I have no idea what's goin on half the time and it seems like you didn't go over every step. Example: Your first step looks like about the third or forth step cause I have no idea how you made whatever it is you start with. Also, having a material list is almost crucial to any tutorial video. I can tell you know what you're doing so I'd recomend reshooting this video with more detail and not skipping steps.
That penny is a serious safety hazard. Personally saw it happen. The penny will come loose and when a swung sword is stopped by hitting a shield or other object or person, that penny comes flying out at a good speed. Suggest a small piece of leather.
You've witnessed the true rarity. It has not been an issue with us and we've been doing this 20+ years. Leather is a good option as well, however a penny can be just as secured.
