I went there in 2023 for my honeymoon. It was fun, but I do remember the international marketplace being much smaller, darker, and feeling more exotic than it is now. I had gone in 1995 or 96 when I was just a teenager, and as my parents went to the don ho show I wandered from our hotel room to explore on my own. I remember the plethora of “suggestive” merchandise that was sold there. 😂 It appears that they completely changed the marketplace sometime in the 2010’s. Thank you for the escape for me!

Ahhhh, it will take some time for the old smells to come back & cover up all that fresh laquer & pine-sol!!!! Nothing like the smell of Mai Tai's & Pu Pu Platters! I bet it totally smells different, & no more of that familiar musty mildew moldy aroma that took over a 1/2 a century to build-up! LoL!

Great drinks love the folks there, my hot take though they’re tiki adjacent not a tiki bar, there’s no tikis inside

Wow, what a great restoration! Watching the video took me back to working in the Molokai bar, and hearing Toti and Heitapu out there entertaining the customers while we cranked out Barrels o’Rum, Sidewinder Fangs, Black Magics and Zombies. Great times!
