The comments here comparing these guys are ridiculous. Both of these guys are great players, but neither are virtuoso level. And that's perfectly okay. It doesn't make them any less great. Felder plays very well, with a lot of emotion and good phrasing. Nothing he does is tremendously complicated, nor super fast, nor super technical. He's still awesome. Slash is a more aggressive player and there are ways in which he is more evolved and technically skilled than Felder. Slash can play things Felder never could. That's not making Slash into a Malmsteen, nor is it saying Felder is inferior. It's reality. And I've got no dog in the fight.

Slash needs to change his look. That’s a dated look now. That’s like 40 yrs old. Great guitarist for sure. But that look, needs to reinvent his look. It’s gotta go. It’s old and tired.

Its amazing that Slash was able to pick up guitar so quick, he started playing in 1979 and in a band in 1985, recording labels Wow, thats inspiring, I guess its attainable if one really does practice religiously everyday and put in the time and hard work into it Ofcourse he is special, he is talented, we won't be able to achieve his level of expertise, but hey, we'll be able to possibly play his songs well

I was at a GameStop Managers conference. Slash was in Guitar Hero 2 a game as a "boss" in the game. (Think it was guitar hero 2) I was older than the other managers. He came out on stage after a huge build up. Everyone stood up and I couldn't see. I without thought jumped up on my chair and screamed "F**Kin A SLASH!" over and over. He did his thing quickly and I turned around at the table. All the other 14 managers at my table were just looking at me with shock that I did that at a work event. I said to them "Sorry, you had to live it I guess". True story, I was 39 years old everyone else were in their 20's. Good video! The great part is the end the guy yelling "I love you"!

Just gained a lot of respect for Slash. He took himself out of the spotlight several times so the focus was on Felder. He didn't have to do that.

In other news, Slash is allowed to be Joe Walsh for 6 minutes. A vast improvement, I'd say.

First, the guitarist at the left Hand Side destroys the Song. It is a Rock Song and Not a raggae Song. Secondly, the original solo is way way better than this Cover Version. Hence, this Song as such is Not good

One of them plays so high up his arms, while the other plays so low around his belt 😅

This has to be one of the worst renditions of Hotel California, and not Felder's fault. First problem was the rhythm guitar guy in the hat, playing as if he was on polka band....at some point didn't remember the chords he had to shuffle thru the sheet music. Slash was pathetic, at one point had to face away from the crowd so you wouldn't realize he had lost his place during the song. At the end the camera zooms in to Slash's just when Felder began playing the iconic solo of the song. I'll grant Slash some liberty at the ending when he jammed some nice notes in the solo. All the while still listening to the aching polka rythmic sound from the mystery guitar dude in a funny hat.
