Welcome to the TH-cam channel of the Emergency Preparedness Committee of the Minnesota Geospatial Advisory Council (EPC). The Minnesota Geospatial Advisory Council is a legally enacted Minnesota state government entity under Minnesota statute 16E.30.
By extension, the Emergency Preparedness Committee serves as the state's principal organization for promoting, coordinating, and standardizing Geographic Information System (GIS) use across all levels of the Minnesota Emergency Services Sector. Membership is open to any individual with an interest in using GIS for emergency preparedness and response.

In this video, Bob Basques of the Minnesota Geospatial Advisory Council Emergency Preparedness Committee's (EPC) Underground Utility Mapping Project Team (UUMPT) briefs other members of the members of the EPC on the anticipated roll out in 1st quarter 2025 of the capability to show all buried infrastructure in a 811 dig site.

Hi I'm a GPS guy for a municipality in Colorado and we've got a lot of good GPS data already in a database. We're looking for a solution for our locators to be able to reproduce those lines on the ground without hooking up a wire. Have you got any suggestions on systems that can do this? There's all kinds of solutions for collecting data but none that I can find that can pull live ESRI data into a unit in the field.
