I wanted to add ruffles to the perimeter of the star, do I do that once I finish making the star or what? 🥹💕
@@b4bydl That’s SUCH a cute idea. I would add them to the project after you’ve attached the strap and finished. What you can do is make a slip knot and insert it into the last row of the star where you connected it to the strap. Then add either 3 double or triple crochets into each stitch depending on how big you want them to be. Let me know if you need any help as you go🩷
Could I use a 4.5 hook?
Absolutely! You will have slightly different numbers to account for the change in size, and the skirt itself will likely need a few extra rows though. You’re basically just going to be downsizing the project, so the stitches will be tighter and smaller.
tutorial for pink topppp
Absolutely!! If you mean the bikini top I can totally get to work on that. If you mean the white and pink frilly one it’s already up!!
hey!! um so wth does if it ends in 7 add 1 and if it ends in add 2 means? so does it tally up the stiches done in each bra cup + the no of chains OR is it just the chains?
Ok so for the bra cups I say “add one” to make the chain that you will use to turn around. It’s a little confusing so please let me know if this makes sense. Basically, if you know you need 7 chains then you want to make 8 TOTAL which would be 7, plus the extra 8th to turn around. Then as you make you actual row afterwards, you will have 7 stitches since you are skipping that 8th one you made, it’s just there to turn around with!
did you count your stitches to find the increase points? in order for it to look balanced you'd have to distribute them evenly, right? awesome tutorial and adorable skirt, you're so generous for giving out a free pattern! <3
Thank you so much first of all 💕 And secondly, for the increases you can totally count them up, since my size will likely be different than what everyone else if making I don’t have an exact amount. You can just count around the piece you made and check how many stitches you have, then add increases and equal distance away from each other! Thank you again for watching and great question
8:10 i thought that it was a top, it would be amazing if where
@@amandazaine1971 That’s actually such a cute idea! If i can find that yarn again I’ll see what I can do and reply back to your comment :)
I just finally made this bag but I did the 2-Chain circle method and it came out absolutely freaking amazing 😭
@@izinkkun6924 That’s so exciting thank you for watching!!! I’m so glad it came out great
i don’t have a dog or a cat but let me know why i am fully seated
STOP, but actually you can totally make this for yourself if you drop the rows for the ear holes! To make it human sized, once you get to the last row, keep doing rows of 1 Hdc in each stitch until it’s long enough for your head! If your head is wider, you can add some more increase rows to get to the right width 🩷
Hii! I was wkndering how many rows of the stars to fit a phone, or watterbottle and like a luchbox
Hello!! I was probably go for 6 or 7. It’ll start to get pretty big at that point tho so make sure you have a heavier duty yarn :)
since the hdcs are bigger than the chains for the strap, its curved and coily :( i knew that was gonna happen... but dk how its gonna turn out. maybe itll straighten out when i attach it
Interesting that yours is coming out that way. Is it shouldn’t curl unless you are adding more than one hdc into each stitch
Mine turned into a square on the 1st row? I did magic ring, DC 20, sl st, dc3, ch 2, dc3, ch 2 and skip 3? And I repeat but I only have 4 sharp thingies and it turned into a square
Hello! It sounds like there was a mistake in counting somewhere. If you skipped 3 and went into the 4th stitch to start each new point there should be 5 total. Make sure you have 20 dc to start and take it apart and try again
Ty for your help! :)
@@Kyra20142 Of course!!

i really enjoyed this it was helpful and not to mention adorable
@@MaxxeOlugbala Thank you!! I’m so happy you enjoyed 🩷🩷
3:54 yall my first “star” is a perfect square. What did i do….
@@brybry_. hmmmmm, when you skipped in between points did you add a chain? my guess is you added just when you didn’t need them!
@@faith.wisest all I know is that I did the thing where I did 3 DC , chain 2 , 3DC , skip 4. I did that and I needed up with 4 points
@@faith.wisest I don’t believe I did, but restarted and got 5 points but the last 2 (starting one, and the last one) were one stitch apart so they were too close
@@brybry_. Alright so I think what you might be doing is skipping 4 stitches and going into the 5th one instead of skipping 3 stitches and going into the 4th one. The directions are a bit tricky, but try doing it this way and seeing if it makes any difference!
@@faith.wisest I fixed that part, but now the stars don’t match up; like there’s a long flat piece on the panels

hiii! i haven't crocheted in like a year and i wanted to pick it up. on all my projects i did before, i never did color changes so it's a new thing for me. when we switched colors, i snipped the ends each color change and i just realized that i didn't have to snip it. will this matter at all? or will the only thing changing would be me weaving in more ends?? sry and thanks in advance (and thanks for the tutorial!)
I’m so happy to hear you’re getting back into crochet!!! Don’t worry about cutting the yarn for the color switches, all you’ll have to do is weave in the ends later. Thank you so much for watching 💕💕
@@faith.wisest thank you! much love 🧡
@@odysseyonawhim Of course💕💕
I have a question, is this possible with 1 yarn color?
Yes it is!! I have done it in plenty of times, you just won’t make any color switches. The entire process is the same aside from that!

You are so welcome!!! Have fun 🩷
9:30 Mamy tutaj zrobić ten pasek z 4 czy z 3 rzędów? I przepraszam że o to się pytam ale jestem dość słaba z angielskiego i średnio rozumiem D:
You can make 3 rows. It will make the strap very strong! I hope Google Translate is working ❤️
Can i use thin yarn
You totally can but there will be more gapping in between stitches if you don’t use a smaller hook. You can size the whole piece down if you would like, but it will take longer to build it back up to the size you like. Also know that if you don’t size down your hook, the yarn will stretch way more
@@faith.wisest so I can but with smaller hook Right
@@Yol-kn6mo Yes! Absolutely, you will probably need more rows, let me know if you run into any trouble
Thank you!!! I saw someone show this kind of bag in a video and I want one so much, definitely trying this out
You’re so welcome!!! Have fun making it and reach out with any questions if you have them ❤️❤️
Omg this helped me a lot and btw what did it mean by do 4 dc instead i didnt know where to put them but my bag still came out cute ty 😊❤
I’m happy it helped!!! So when you keep moving through the rows I started with the example of double crocheting 2 times, then going into the point, then double crocheting 2 more times. For each row from there you would be adding 2 more, going up in evens. So it would be 4 double crochets before the point, and then 6 in the next, and so on so forth!
@@faith.wisest omg tysm 😊 am subscribing

@@faith.wisest welcome ☺🩵
may i know how much yarn you use for each colour?? owh and is it okay if i use milk cotton 5ply yarn??
I used a combined 300g of yarn, around 200g of the main color and 100g of the second color. Any yarn will work, just make sure it’s sturdy enough that putting something heavy in the bag won’t break it, and that you don’t put it in the wash. Good luck!!
@@faith.wisest i seee.. thank you for answering my question ☺️☺️❤️

Thank you sm for the pattern ! I think there's a mistake on row 10, you say to put 10 double crochet in the windows, but you are actually putting 7 (?) this got me kinda confused for row 12 when I was searching for the middle stitch
Thank you for pointing this out it is totally a mistake in the step! I must’ve got tripped up in the edited when I wrote row 10. I really appreciate it 💕

Hips are bigger than the waist. Wouldnt you want to take the largest measurement i.e. the hips so you can get it on?
Normally yes! But for this it’ll stretch a bit because you’re using a loser stitch. Of course, you can adjust these measurements however you please! I always encourage people to change things to fit their body types
